TV Commentary:

True Blood- Well, that was the porniest and most action packed ep of True Blood so far! But hey, vamps fighting werewolves! And wasn't Jessica such a cutie-pie during that whole scene? In any case, I don't see what's supposed to be so scary about True Blood werewolves. I mean, what separates them from shifters like Sam and his family? They acted like Weres were like so much worse and more dangerous. But it seems like they just turn into normal wolves. I mean, I haven't seen any of the Twilight movies, but I've seen the commercials, and it looks like they at least turn into giant wolves. I'm sure a normal wolf with human intelligence could easily slaughter a human, but I don't see them as being all that dangerous to vamps.

So first things first, Sam's mom comes around asking for money, so he gives it to her and tells her to GTFO, so it looks like Tommy's fully his ward now. And Tommy takes to the role happily, even identifying himself as "Tommy Merlotte" at the bar as he picks fights with Hoyt (whom he tells to stay away from Jessica as she's over him and is look for a real man like Tommy) and Crystal's dad when he comes looking for her (more on that later, but it seems like Crystal's dad and his cronie have a certain smell that Tommy and Sam pick on and act like they know what it is, but don't bother to exposit for the audience. Hmm, wonder what they are?). However, he and Sam do butt heads when Sam tries to get Tommy to stop being such a hothead, and asks him if he has any dreams and is all, "You should go to college and make something of yourself!" to which Tommy responds, "You don't know me at all!"

Arlene starts to have daydream-nightmares about Rene being alive again and wanting to watch over his child. Its still weird that despite this being the third season, not all that much time has elapsed from the beginning of the show. I wonder long til Terry finds out that that's not his kid in her womb!

Now onto the meat and potatoes of the ep. We pick back up from the end of the last ep with Sookie screaming her lungs off upon seeing Bill. Surprisingly enough, no doctors or orderlies or nurses or whatever show up. Anyways, Alcide and Tara get in Bill's face, but eventually she manages to convince them to let her talk to him alone. They break up yet again, this time Bill saying he wants her to be with someone who can be with her in the sun and give her kids and wot-not.

Eventually, they all make it to Bon Temps. I guess at some point Tara must've told Sook about Franklin, because they have a fight where Tara projects her own fears and problems resulting from her ordeal with Franklin, telling Suckeh she's a dumb bitch if she gets back with Bill. But who can blame her, Franklin did put her through a lot, what with him being a total crazy person and all. And as often happens when someone consumes a vamps blood, she has creepy, pr0n dreams about Franklin, furiously masturbating in the shower as he bites her.

Meanwhile, her cuz Lafayette shows up at his doorstep to find his moms, acting all crazy and having escaped from the mental institution. Apparently, she has to warn him because "the vamps and witches and dogs and cats" are coming for him. Now, are these the ramblings of a schizo, or is she for real? Apparently she's told Lafayette he's "special" all his life. Is he secretly some sort of supernatural? Anyways, Jesus eventually shows up, and he and Lafayette make up... with sexy results.

Jason, still restless over everything, pressures Sookie to press charges against Bill for sending her to the hospital, and starts fiddling with his shotgun, contemplating going after him. Luckily, Crystal shows up with a black eye and gets him focused on something other than trying to kill her sister's boyfriend or ex-boyfriend or whatever the hell Bill is. So they sex it up, and when she goes to take a shower, he takes off for Hotshot to give her family a piece of his mind. He finds one of her kin on the floor, eating a raw animal or something and hissing at him. Her dad does eventually show up (after the aforementioned confrontation at Merlotte's) and Jason threatens him, and for good or for bad, he finally takes notice of Jason. Whether its a begrudging respect of this young man who wants to date his daughter, or if he's wickedly amused that this kid is making threats and he's gonna teach Jason who he's messing with, I can't tell.

Bill shows up at home, and Jessica is all eggcited to see him, since she's been needing her "father"'s guidance, but unfortunately, he wants her to leave, as he's too dangerous to be around. She sets him straight, and tells him she needs him and she's not leaving. So, he ends up teaching her how to fight and utilize her super-speed better. Its all very cute! I like their father-daughter relationship (plus the fact that she's a Sookie-Bill shipper, its like aw, she wants her parental figures to get and stay together), its nice to see them finally back together and acting so after being apart all season.

Russell returns home with Sophie-Anne and Hadley, and Talbot pitches a fit now that the reality of Russell and Sophie Anne being "married" and she's actually around. That and he freaks out about Russell killing the Magister, even though Russell says he covered his tracks, and he donated a bunch of money to Nan's organization to "make up for it". He makes even Talbot even madder when he declares to head back to Bon Temps to fetch Sookie, but Eric sets his revenge plan in motion by playing the loyal subject, saying he'll keep Talbot company. Talbot's not averse to this. Heh, Eric almost reveals his true identity to Russell, declaring the king "the person he's been looking for a thousand years", but then plays it off as Russell being the strong leader he's been wanting to follow. He definitely has to do some major acting here, as he plays up the lie by claiming he thought Godric was that, but that in the end he was weak and that's why he's dead. Though I'm sure there are some feelings of anger towards his sire for killing himself like that, so its not a bold faced lie.

In any case, the king believes him and totally trusts Eric. Eric eventually finds Hadley in secret and tells her to go to Bon Temps to warn Sookie.

Alcide and Sookie have a talk where he tells her that the pack attacked his sister's salon, and how they're going after his loved ones. They start talking about their loves gone wrong, and she's all, "Why couldn't I have fallen for a guy like you?" and they share an almost kiss. But eventually, he has to leave to look after his kin. Later, Hadley shows up. Since she hadn't seen her cousins in so long, she's quite upset to find out Gran is dead (again, weird, as its another thing shining light on the fact that not all that much time has passed on the show) but tells Sookie about Russell coming for her. Not anything Sookie didn't already expect, but she's not gonna run. Before Hadley leaves, Sookie mind reads that she "told the secret about her". But of course Sookie has no idea what that means.

Nightfall comes and Russell and Debbie (who's looking for revenge for Cooter) and some wolves show up. Sookie is in her bedroom has her shotgun at the ready, but unbeknown to her, Bill and Jessica are downstairs to help her. They make short work of the wolves, but Jess gets a little too hasty and gets caught by Russell. Russell wants to make a trade, but Bill says he'll just fight him instead, which is stupid and suicidal, but he's trying to save both his girls. Russell has the Swayze werewolf "play" with Jessica as he royally kicks Bill ass. Debbie meanwhile slips upstairs and has a knockdown drag out fight with Sookie. Sookie eventually gets the upper hand, cutting Deb's face up pretty badly and chases her off with her shotgun, not wanting to kill her for Alcide's sake.

Meanwhile, Talbot and Eric are keeping themselves busy at home, eventually leading to Talbot wanting some gay sex. They get into it, and Eric gets behind him. Eric does not "penetrate" Talbot with the implement he's expecting, instead staking him in revenge for Russell killing his family all those years ago. Which is quite fortunate for Bill, as Russell soon detects the death of his childer/husband, and runs away to see what happened. Then, he goes to see to Sookie's safety. Then they have hot sex! Though what an a-hole, as far as he knows, Jessica is being ripped apart by a werewolf, shouldn't he be checking her safety instead of frakking around? I guess he could tell if she was killed, but shouldn't he try to stop that from happening?!

In any case, as Hoyt drives back from Merlotte's, all sad over Jessica, he unknowingly passes by Jessica having fun as she feeds over the wounded Swayze wolf, who's begging for mercy and not wanting her to kill him. Again, what kinda of wimpy werewolves are these? Even a nascent vamp can take these guys out!
