Eureka- So the Eureka/Warehouse 13 crossover continues, along with the Fargo/Claudia thing. Okay, ha, they make reference in the beginning to the fact that Claudia and Zane having the same last name, I totally didn't realize they did until they pointed it out. And is Baltar's character on this just a way for them to poke fun at Mad Men? But getting back to the Claudia/Fargo thing, the way she was all up on him after they fell on the second mine, I was thinking, shouldn't he be "poking" her? But then they actually do hint at that when Carter shows up and says they're in a "hard situation" and Fargo and Claudia give each other a look like they're thinking "in more ways than one"! But hey, who can blame Fargo? Claudia is a cool, cute nerd chick. Although he does up the perv quotient by asking if she still has her "Campfire Girl" uniform (that universe's equivalent of a girl scout?) when she mentions she was one.
In any case, the CotW, their experiments with that device eventually cause some reaction in Baltar that started attracting things from his time line to show up in current day Eureka, and that if they didn't find a way to neutralize the exotic particles in him, it would continue until the timelines collided and destroyed everything. (Heh, they managed to throw in an Airplane reference in there!) The issue I have with this though, is that only Carter, Jo, Fargo, Allison, and Henry know Baltar is from the past and is at the center of all this. So what the hell does the rest of Global Dynamics think the cause was? I mean, I get Fargo is the head (though he was busy playing grab-ass with Claudia) and Jo is in charge of security (though she was sidelined with the .50 cal bullet manifesting inside her), so between the two of them they could cover things up on paper. But given all of Allison's staff were present with all that weird particle stuff going on with Baltar, what did they think was happening? No one else knew he was from the 40s, so wouldn't they be confused as to why this was all centered on random new guy?
Plus they ended up shipping the device to the Warehouse which as far as everyone besides them knows is some broken antique that didn't do anything. Are they saying the device caused it and did something to Baltar? But wouldn't people wonder what it was and why it caused the issues they saw? And Claudia is a smart, curious girl who was privy to a lot of what was actually happening, given she was helping with the investigation. What did she think was happening? Particularly when at the end she was all, "Why are you sending it to the Warehouse, its not really an artifact", so how does she think it caused the problems?
Oh, and since I have it on the 11pm re-run as I type this up, I totally missed the whole thing with Zane and Jo the first time through. I mean, I got she was touched that he was there waiting over her when she was hospitalized, but I missed the part where he mistook her sneaking glances at him by passing by his lab all the time (because she lurves him!) as her being "passive aggressive" and thinking she wants him to fix the flying cycle as quickly as possible.
Degrassi- Okay, so why the hell was Dave freaking out about the auto tune? Its not like there aren't artists out there using auto-tune. Hell, there are artists who's whole bag is the fact that they use auto-tune. I mean, I can see him getting hurt that they auto tuned him (though I think it does seem to fit their sound, even if he didn't sing so bad!), but he seemed unreasonably pissed, like they were ruining rather than saving their endeavor. And when did Sav become king cool guru advising all these younger kids?
Eli's revenge on Fitz seemed a little excessive. I mean, giving him a fake id using the name of a known criminal and then setting up that situation where the cops show up so they can run the id and arrest him? And won't that just perpetuate the circle of violence? Because it doesn't seem like Fitz was really all, "Oh crap, I better not mess with Eli anymore!", he was more "I'm gonna get that frakker back". You stand up to bullies, but you don't provoke them, because they're already a-holes, doing something like that will just get them bent on revenge rather than backing down.
Woah, is it me, or does Holly J look really pretty with her hair down? In any case, looks like she and Declan are on a break. So as we saw at the end of the last ep, he shows up, and though he hadn't heard the message from Hollu J yet, when he finally does, he thinks its funny and all is well between them. Until he hears about her financial woes and offers to help out. Which just makes things awkward. I mean, Chantay makes a totally rude "gold digger" joke, not realizing how offended Holly J would be b/c she has started thinking about how the whole situation looks. Although even Chantay is incredulous when Declan is wanting to hang out with Holly J more, and wanting to throw money around to make it happen, finally crossing the line when he says, "How much it will it cost to make you do what I want to do?" Not the right way to phrase it. So in the end up, she does an "I choose me" and breaks up with him, because she wants to be her own woman and not become Declan's trophy wife. Not that that's what Declan is wanting her to be. At least not initially or consciously .
I mean, he's rich, so he's used to money solving problems. And to him, the whole thing with Holly J having to move and not having time to hang with him, paying movers to do the work for her doesn't seem to be too big a deal. But she sees it would be a slippery slope, if she accepts, then he'll keep offering his money to help her out and it'll be easier and easier to accept. And while he and Fiona are all, "You're practically part of the family, you're set for life as soon as you and Declan marry, but you can still be your own woman and go to the college you want and have the great career you've always wanted!", they say that now, but they miss what she's worried about. That all that money will make her lose her drive, because why would she work so hard if she's "set" as they say. But at least Holly J's still friends with Fi even though she broke up with her brother. Or is Fi just happy that her brother's free now?
Though her mom's advice was a little ridiculous. Like she was all, "You're not going to that college to follow some boy, are you?" Its not like she's quitting becoming a lawyer or doctor to go to some liberal arts community college. She's wanting to go to Yale! She's a smart girl, I would think Yale would be a natural aspiration for her, even if Declan wasn't around. Okay, I guess without Declan, she might choose a prestigious college closer to home (at least one in the same country!) But again, its not like wanting to go to Yale is a bad thing!
Haven- Okay, it was pretty obvious what the CotW was when the harbormaster showed up with that baby in the beginning. Its like, "Oh, BTW, I just randomly adopted this kid!" So one could ascertain what was exactly happening.
But man, that's kinda effed up. They send the kid away to keep Duke alive. But what happens when this kid grows up and finds out she's adopted and wants to know who they are. I mean, I think she'd be incredulous if someone told her, "You can't see your father, or you'll kill him!" So if she did seek them out, she'd unwittingly end up killing her dad.
So wait, Harbormaster lady is just gonna chain herself up on Friday nights when she turns into Helena to prevent herself from going all succubus on men and having babies that will kill them? Which fine, but does she get a free pass on those other guys she did end up killing? I know she says she wasn't in control, but are they really, "Oh well, you killed two guys, but what can you do?!"
