Jun. 4th, 2010 09:38 pmCool, they have the full tracks on the upcoming Glee Journey To Regionals CD coming out this Tuesday available to listen to. I had already pre-ordered this, but now ah really cant wait til this comes out!
Faithfully- My all-time favorite Journey song. Finn is the weak link in the song, but Rachel more than makes for it. Totally well done!
Don't Stop Believin', Regionals Version- The original Glee hit, this time re-done with the entire club. Even though its cool to hear other members get a significant part in this (its odd Puck and Santana get their own lines here when Artie and Tina don't when the latter two were original members) its not a significant improvement over the original. Its good, but I think the memories I have attached to the original version have me preferring it over the new one.
Any Way You Want It/Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'- So of the three Journey songs on this CD, I'd rank this after Faithfully. Its one of the better mash-ups, and has that full stage number feel to it. I can't wait to see the actual performance.
Bohemian Rhapsody- Jesse and Vocal Adrenaline do a phenomenal job hear, and from the commentary I've heard, some people are all, Vocal Adrenaline deserve the win. I mean, this is a really well done version of the song, but that's just one compared to New Directions' three. I'd have to hear their other numbers to determine which group was better!
To Sir, With Love- I think this is beautifully done, and I really love the chorus, it evokes quite an emotional feeling. Another one I can't wait to see the actual performance.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow- Speaking of evoking emotional feelings, this cover of the Israel K-however the hell you pronounce it version of this classic song is quite sweet and poignant. And marks the first time Will and Puck sing together since they did Color Me Badd's "I'm Gonna Sex You Up" back in the beginning of the season.
