TV commentary:

Lost- Hmm, interesting alt-reality plot in this one. So in alt-reality, we pick off from Kate hijacking Puppermaster from Heroes cab, which of course also contained Claire. After getting delayed by Arzt blocking their path as he tried to cross the street, once they stop, Heroes Puppetmaster runs away, abandoning a poor little pregnant girl to a hot fugitive with a gun (heh, seeing the guy still running in the background was very GTA-ish)

Anyways, Kate kicks her out but doesn't let Claire retrieve her bag, and then goes to Rack from Buffy to get her handcuffs taken off. Once they are, she looks through Claire's bag for a change of clothes, and sees all this baby stuff like a cute little stuffed whale, and feels incredibly guilty. So she returns the bag to Claire and Claire inexplicably hangs out with her the rest of the day, checking out the supposed adoptive parents (who've changed their minds since they broke up), and Kate taking her to the hospital when Claire starts having pains. Heh, Ethan's ends up being her doctor here too, and if he ended up leaving the island and not getting corrupted by Ben, he's not secretly evil? And its Goodspeed instead of Rom now. (Oh, heh, I just looked on Lostpedia, and they do have separate character pages for the alt-timeline versions of peeps)

Anyhoo, some cops come looking for Kate, and Claire covers for her, even giving her her credit card. Is it some residual trust from the other universe? Because Stockholm Syndrome aside, she is a little too friendly to someone who held her at gunpoint not a few hours before.

In the original reality, Dogen and Lennon torture Sayid, saying its a test, and he passed. Only he didn't. He failed, so they try to get Jack to give him a pill that will supposedly cure him, but was really poison. Interesting, I wonder why they have to get Jack to get Sayid to take it willingly? If he is that dangerous, can't they do it themselves? Or is it purely diplomatic? They think Sayid will trust Jack and not them, so he's the best person to offer the pill, and they don't want to outright kill Sayid lest they alienate the Losties?

In the end, Dogen tells Jack Sayid has been "claimed", and he has a darkness growing inside of him that, once it consumes his heart, will change him forever. So, he's like Rousseau's team? And apparently, Dogen tells him, the same thing has happened to Jack's sister. Which Jack already learned is Claire, though you think he'd wonder how the Others know that.

Meanwhile, Sawyer leaves, bitter that an Iraqi torturer who shoots kid comes back from the dead, but Juliet dies. Kate goes after him, of course, as she does. Heh, Jack offers to go with her, but of course she turns him down! Because she can't have both of them at the same time! They have to be in separate places so she can mess with their minds by hanging out with them for a while, then running away to be with the other! Instead, Jin (who is wanting to find the Ajira flight to hook back up with Sun), Mac from IASIP, and some other Templar join her. Kate knocks out Mac, again (and he is definitely bitter about being knocked out all those years ago the least time) and she and Jin escape.

Kate hooks back up with Sawyer, who went to New Otherton to dig up a shoebox hidden under the floor of his house and mopes. Apparently, he was going to propose to Juliet before the rest of them showed back up. Kate apologizes for making Sawyer and Juliet help Jack, saying its her fault that Juliet is dead, but Sawyer says its his fault, because Juliet was already to leave back in 1977, when the timeline stabilized and they were stuck there. But he convinced her to stay because he didn't want to be alone. Then he goes all emo and says, "Some people are just meant to be alone." Did Kate ever tell him about his daughter? They could have at least has a throwaway line at one point where she's all, "Okay, I met up with your baby mama and your daughter is fine".

So she heads back to the temple while Sawyer stays. Meanwhile Mac's all ready to kill Jin, but Claire shoots him and the other Templar, and she's looking all Rousseau-ish.
