Fringe- Hmm, it seems like there were a few logical leaps they could've made in this ep to make thing easier. Like when they determined the shapeshifter's body that they recovered a few weeks ago wasn't the real shapeshifter and that the shapeshifter was still out there, wouldn't that point straight to Charlie?! I mean, if he shot someone who wasn't the shapeshifter, and he claimed he had "no choice", that means he either killed an innocent person who he thought was attacking him, or that Charlie was the shapeshifter. Either way, they shoulda brought him in, because he's either a doppleganger, or needs to be told he accidentally killed an innocent!
But then if they did that, they couldn't do the whole, "The shapeshifter is really Charlie!" text when she was hanging out with him. But what are they going to do about that now? It seems the FBI in this world is more accepting about stuff than they were in the X-files. But will "killing a fellow agent because he was really a doppleganger" really fly? What the hell are they gonna tell his wife? Or all their co-workers? I mean, if it comes out that she shot him, people are going to wonder why! And I don't think, "It wasn't him, it was a shapeshifting techno-organic thing from a parallel dimension" is something they can tell the rank and file.
Also, I could swear they posited the existence of multiple universes, but here they've limited it to only two? And I guess during her conversation with Spock, there were definitely parts of the conversation she missed? I wasn't sure if they were trying to be artsy, or they definitely meant to show she's still doesn't have the whole interaction.
Ah, but they did have the one chick react weirdly to Peter. I was thinking that, because if she could detect other-siders, and the implication is that Walter took an other-side Peter to replace his own dead son, she should be able to pick up on that.
