geebsSaw The Hangover today then had dinner at Roaster's with the usual suspects. The Hangover was pretty hilarious, definitely a funny movie.
After dinner, finally saw the Caprica movie. I'm guessing the version that Sci Fi will eventually show will be cut/censored, given that it starts with an orgy of sex and violence. No, not figuratively, a literal orgy, with breasts and bare ass all over the place. spcv('Nice!') So that's what Caprican kids did for fun back in the day! How tawdry, salacious, and altogether lascivious. Well, at least, as you quickly find out, virtually. But isn't that what most people use the internet for nowadays- pr0n and fighting/killing in all sorts of online multiplayer games? While I'm totally cool with the sex orgies with all sorts of hottie nymphets, and the fight club stuff, the ritual sacrifice thing is a little too freaky for my tastes. And I don't get the gun thing they show either. What's so fun about just shooting someone who's just standing there?!

Even if the enemy is stupid, the fact is that I've engaged in mortal combat with it. Its not my fault if they can't defend themselves right! Something like The Club or Unreal Tournament, where its like you're shooting it out in an arena, that's fun. Gunning down randoms just standing there? That's frakked up! Its like, why would I want to do that?
Anyways, I dunno if I'm just a perv, but is it me, or does Julii Cooper (i.e., Atia from Rome) seem to give off some lesbianic vibes when she was interacting with original Egg and Andi from Kyle XY? I kept expecting her interactions with them to end with sexy results. Like when she and Andi (okay, Lacey) were talking in her office about Zoe and they hugged, I expected the headmistress to start sniffing her hair, and then Lacey would be all, "Mistress, what are you doing?" and then she'd tell her she was gonna show her the secret things she's been doing with Zoe, and then they'd start making out. Or maybe that was just wishful thinking. And did it also seem like Zoe and Lacey might have had been more than friends? Like Lacey seemed all jealous when Zoe started hanging out with Arab guy (again, isn't it slightly offensive that even though they don't have the same racial lines here in the BSG universe, they still make the suicide bomber an A-rab?). Maybe its just because they're nubile and have stripper sounding names.
But enough about teen lesbian sex. So the Adamas were Taurons? Who all seem like a bunch of Native American/Hispanic mobsters? But in the end Joe Adama was teaching Bill (or "Willy") about his heritage. Like what's so great about Tauron, it sounds like a shithole. From what we've seen of the colonies on this and BSG, why would you want to be anything other than Caprican? It seemed like the shining jewel of the colonies. I can see why Baltar wanted to pretend he was from there, the rest of the colonies seem like a bunch of savage rubes.
