Apr. 20th, 2009 07:25 pmLooks like the first four eps of G.I.Joe:Resolute are up on Adult Swim. Its interesting, I like this new take on the team. Obviously, Duke, Scarlett and Snake-Eyes are the stars, though like many takes on the G.I.Joe mythos, they took the whole Duke/Scarlett from the show and SE/Scarlett from the comics and made a triangle out of it. Reloaded I think had that, and the new IDW continuity hints at such a triangle also.
It was shocking they killed off a couple of characters right off the back. But looks like the Joes we've seen so far are Stalker (sporting dreadlocks!), Lady Jaye (we don't get to see her in action or talk yet, but I heard they're making her very Starbuck-ish), Spirit, Airborne, (of the couple hundred Joes they could pick for this, they get two American Indians?) Wild Bill, Rock N' Roll, Roadblock, Gung Ho (who doesn't sound Cajun enough), Beach-head, Doc (who they made kinda old), Flint, Shipwreck, Cover Girl, Tunnel Rat (who's trying to have a Brooklyn accent, but doesn't quite have it right), and Rip-Cord. I actually knew all of them immediately save for the last one. Original Rip-Cord is a white dude. But apparently for this they went for the movie's black version. Actually, there's a cutie in the third ep that is apparently Dial Tone, so I guess in addition to making Rip Cord black, they made Dial Tone a girl.

So anyways, I have a little over 100mb left on my nano, so I am kicking myself for not forking over the extra $50 for the 16 gig version. What I really want though is an iphone with a sidekick-y interface. I like having a real keyboard, and i love the trackball on the sk. But the ipod just does media playback better (not to mention the iphone has gps), its just that the interface on their devices suck. I mean, I love the way they use the accelerometer on my nano. Its just the controls on ipods don't seem intuitive. The way I think the wheel should work isn't actually the way it works. But while we're combining stuff. The flip isn't a phenomenal digital video camera, but its not bad for its price. And I like the ease of video editing/uploading. If only there were something that combined all of that, I'd sure have less to carry around in my pockets.
