Whoa, its my 3000th journal entry. Crazy, eh? 3000 pages of ridiculousness in about 8 years.

I was trying to look up dream interpretation stuff online, specifically the meaning of flooding roads. I had this dream last night I was driving down a road that started flooding, and I've had dreams like that before. I'd be driving down some coastal highway and the ocean would rise up and consume it. I'd still drive on through to the end on sheer force of will though, my mind keeping the car afloat. But apparently flooding is connected with feeling overwhelmed?

Of course, the other part of the dream involved me getting involved with this married chick who had a kid. Or rather, I had apparently liked her in the past, but she didn't feel the same way back then, then she married some other dude and had a kid with him. But I guess she was getting bored or something, because now she was putting the moves on me, but I was skeptical and thought I was just imagining it. I did get along with her kid. Oh, and we were part of a nomadic space fleet, and the majority of the people were going to set down and give up technology like a bunch of retarded luddites, but a small group would stay on one of the ships to explore the stars, and I was going to be one of those explorers, she was trying to convince her husband to stay on the ship so she and their kid could stay on the ship, and it started becoming obvious that she only wanted to stay because I was staying. Though her husband was still oblivious.

TV Commentary:

Heroes- One thing that never made sense to me on Heroes (Or X-men, or other comics). So if people started manifesting amazing and wondrous abilities, why would you try to lock them up or exterminate them? You should start to get them breeding (with themselves and norms) to make more of them or see if there would be some sort of gene therapy to give those who don't yet have powers powers! It just makes cents! Scientifically, I think if people started developing powers, I would see it as the next step in evolution, and these people are the new torchbearers of the human race. Why would you seek to eliminate the betters in favor of those who are evolutionarily behind?! Sure, some people are all, "but people with powers could be dangerous!" But I don't think that step in evolution would have been reached if not for some divine plan. We just have to take a leap of faith that it won't cause us to wipe ourselves out. There may be problems and casualties, but in the end, I think humanity would grow for the better. I think these negative nancies are just being lazy. The transition from homo sapien to homo superior would be a rocky one, but we just need to be vigilant. And those who want to stop it from happening are just lazy morons who'd rather take the easy way out instead of seeing the glory of a newer, better human race!

But on to the actual ep. Is it me, or has Claire been looking cuter these past few eps? Is it the bangs? Has she maybe lost some of baby fat from her face? She's still kinda stumpy though. So Sylar and Danko make a deal, Sylar will help Danko hunt others like him, if he gets the abilities/is the last one standing at the end. Interesting, so he steals some guy's shapeshifting power, so now everyone thinks Sylar is dead. Though I couldn't tell at the end if Bennet was skeptical and thinking it was some sort of trick, or a mix of relief and awe that Danko was able to bring him down, disappointment that it wasn't he himself who killed Sylar.

HIMYM- Heh, so I guess after Uriel got killed in Supernatural, he started running a lazer tag arena in NYC? It was funny to see them poke fun at Lethal Weapon and all the buddy-cop action movie cliches that movie spawned. And we got some subtle BrOTP as well- Barney and Robin making the silly two-person phone message, them going to the rave together. And while I do like the sappy stuff, it makes a better case for the BrOTP than showing Barney secretly pining or obvious references that he's in love with her.

Gossip Girl- Ooh, I liked this ep for an obvious reason. Chuck and Vanessa, actually together. I'm a Dan/Blair-shipper at heart, so if those two got paired off together, to meet it seemed to make sense to put Chuck and Vanessa together. (And have Nate with Jenny, and Serena being Ms. Free Spirit doesn't need anyone to tie her down) Alas, Blair getting back with Nate was the actual instigator (is it me, or could they be any more bland and boring, but I guess that's the point) But its cool to see them actually go there with Chuck and V.

Anyways, its the return of Poppy, though I'm not liking the hair. When they first showed the flashback with Georgina, I thought this meant she'd be showing up, but I guess it was just that Poppy is starting to date one of the guys S and G messed around with in their fake guises? But heh, it was funny to see Serena mad that she's losing her Miss It Girl status with Poppy being all, "Have fun at your little party" and the Mean Girls being all "good you cancelled your party because it would be embarassing for little J for no one to show up because Penelope was throwing a party." Its like having Poppy being a little condescending is one thing, but having one of the minions trying to upstage her? The final straw.

Hmm, so are they trying to fix Dorota with the door man? And it was a little clunky of them to show the preview about the fake dead son in the beginning. Its like gee, could it be Dan's fan? That's the only person mentioned in the ep that it could be! So it was no surprise when it was revealed they were one in the same. Not that we actually meet him. Interesting though, does he know that Dan is his half brother like the parents think, or was it indeed the craziest of koinky-dinks where the guy liked Dan's work and the parents jumped to the wrong (but perfectly reasonable) conclusion?

24- What's with the Secret Life people showing up on 24?! First Ashley and Amy's dad is one of the Cabinet members, now Adrian's dad is one of the mercs working for Jon Voight? And is it me, or was the Cisco product placement totally clunky. Its like, "Okay, madame president, with webex secure digital signature, you can sign this important document made over at FBI HQ immediately from the White House, so it can be ready to use right then!" Its even worse than the Cisco video conferencing product placement from a couple years ago. And ah, that Olivia, acting all coy like she didn't want the provisional chief of staff position when she totally does.

Chuck- Hmm, interesting developments this episode. So, are they gonna make it so Captain Awesome (and possibly others) will know Chuck works for the CIA in a few eps? It looks like he's starting to get pieces and clues. But ooh, too bad for him, Ellie thinks he got drunk and had a little too much fun with Officer Naughty (I can never think of hottie police woman strippers without thinking of Daphne from Fraiser being all "Officer Nasty!") when Six just shot him with a tranq gun. And then when Chuck tried to get Awesome his security badge back (couldn't they have given him his badge back if Casey was the one who needed to plant it, and was obviously done with it since he took Awesome home. Or, they coulda cloned it!), Ellie thinks he's being a dick and covering for her fiancee, so she feels doubly betrayed.

But Sarah manages to find Chuck's dad, not that we see him this ep. In any case, it was funny to see Six play basically a female Casey and have them do the "gun porn" when they went to clean their weapons. But it was also nice to see Casey stick up for Chuck and Sarah. I was talking about this with the roomie last night, but I think it was [livejournal.com profile] clevemire who asked this, doesn't Sarah know if they get the intersect out of Chuck, they'd kill him. But the roomie pointed out there's a diff between getting the intersect out of Chuck, and the ep where Casey was about to kill him. In that ep, they had a replacement intersect, so it was too dangerous and they felt it was a waste of resources to keep him around and alive with a duplicate in his head. But, if he ends up getting it out of his head and onto a computer, there's still just the one intersect, its just no longer in him. I don't think they'd kill him then. Anyways, even if it was out of him, even though Chuck does seem like a dork unfit for spy work, it seems to me even if the intersect was gone, General Beckman still wants him as an asset, because he was able to fight Fulcrum more effectively than her people ever. And it wasn't all due to the intersect being in his head. Like finding Orion.

House- Hasn't the seeing the ep from the eyes of a patient with "locked-in syndrome" been done before. Definitely on E/R and Crossing Jordan. I'm just glad it wasn't for the whole ep. Is it me, or does 13 have nice eyes?
