I think they said "young woman" not child, which means she could have reached child bearing age and started knocking boots with cave dudes. But yeah, the way they showed her in that clip, I thought they were gonna have it be really dark and she survived all that to fall down and break her neck.
But Chip-Six/Baltar, its like HRG on Heroes, where no one on the show calls them that, its just a fan-based construct. Like people initially thought it might be some chip in his head, not wanting to believe she really was an angel. But I think the name stuck, but it looks like the angel thing is the explanation they are going for.
