Too slow!

Hmm, it looks like I've gotten good enough at SSF to get to "Back Up Request" no problem. But I'm just finding it impossible to maneuver around in time to take the guys out. I mean, no matter how fast or slow I go as I turn, I just can't seem to get behind these guys. I mean, today I finally got behind the whole flock of them with 10 seconds left and just started locking on and firing, but I wasn't fast enough to take out the 5 guys who were left. So close, but yet so far.
