I don't recall which channels do this (fox and f/x definitely), but I've always found it annoying when they had the advertisement for one of their other shows pop up in the corner or the bottom of the screen. Particularly when it blocks subtitles or something similar, but even more so when they had audio accompanying the ad blocking the audio for the show. That's frickin' retarded! Its one thing to have something annoying obscuring part of the screen, but interfering with the dialogue? It does not make cents! Its like TRL or the Top 20 Countdown. What's the point of the video making it onto the list when they only play 15 seconds of it?! So I vote for a video in the hopes of seeing it, but when its time for the countdown, I don't actually to see it? What the frak?!
But I digress, watching TBS right now, they managed to make the concept even more annoying. In ads for the Bill Engvall show, the pop up will show up, and they actually pause the ep (in the middle of dialog sometimes!) for Bill Engvall to be all "Watch my show!" Man, that's annoying!
I mentioned before thinking Charlotte being Annie at first, but then I realized how that wouldn't make sense. But I heard an interesting theory where people theorize she's Annie's daughter. And perhaps Ben's real daughter? I've always found Ben's fatherliness towards Alex kinda weird. Like, why does he want to be a dad, unless he had a real brush with fatherhood? Of course, I suck at ages, so I have no idea how old Ben is, or how old Charlotte is, and if its even possible for him to be her father. Of course, with the time weirdness on the island, I guess anything is possible.
Watching the season finale again, I guess they make it sound like Desmond is going into hiding, and one would assume Penny is joining him. That makes me think of the Ben flash forward. One would initially guess Widmore sent Penny into hiding to protect her from Ben's wrath given Alex dies in that ep. But I guess given the events of the season finale, its possible Widmore doesn't even know where his daughter is. Like him being all, "You'll never find her" is more like "I can't even find her, how the hell are you going to find her?"
