Chuck had one of my favorite references in years, with Morgan going "there i was, there i was, there i was, in the congo." I think the "maybe back in '08" promo was outwardly referring to the threat to chuck, but with a wink to the strike. Heroes' promos after the episode seemed to imply that they'd pick up in January or whatever, even though that's almost impossible at this point... I think it makes sense for network promos to basically ignore the strike, since they'd rather people turn on the tv and discover that nothing's on than have them plan other activities and miss out on all-important advertising.
And the dude that walked away from the Nathan shooting kinda looked like Noah. That's my theory anyway. He struck a deal with the company, and I think his desire to protect Claire would coincide with keeping the existence of superpowers a secret. That may be too obvious, though.
