So I was perusing youtube, as I'm often wont to do, and saw some gameplay footage of SW2:XL that was posted a couple of months ago. I knew they added characters and 5th weapons. What I didn't know was all the characters got new charge attacks:

Awesome, so normal type guys get a c9 (Shimazu's c9 looks bad-ass, and Akechi's looks pretty cool as well), and the special/charge characters get a c5? Honda's new c5 looks like it would be very useful as it seems to blast big groups away at the end.
The new characters look interesting: (links go to the intro to their story/gameplay video)
Toshiie Maeda- I like his weapons and fighting style. And he's a "normal" attack type character, which was my preferred move set type. From the looks of it, I think I would enjoy playing him.
Kojiro Sasaki- my favorite character from SW2 that you couldn't play. He's also a "normal" attack type. I like his sword style, I can't wait to pit him against his rival, Musashi.
Katsuie Shibata- I dunno, I kinda preferred him with the spear in SW2. It looks like he's a "charge" type, and he kinda plays like Pang De. I actually like playing as Pang De, though Katsuie's over sized battle axes look a little ridiculous.
Motochiko Chosokabe- interesting character design, very bishy meets glam rock. Another charge attack type. The whole guitar as a weapon is sorta cool, but still a bit silly.
Gracia- Akechi's daughter. Looks like she's of the "special" attack type. Her musou attack is reminiscent of Zhuge Liang, but overall she seems like Red Riding Hood with magical powers.
Damn, I kinda can't wait for SW2:XL to come out stateside. (I have neither a 360 nor a PS3, so no DW6 for me just yet) On the other hand though, my hopes for a WO:XL with all the stuff from SW2:XL seems like a pipe dream now, since the additions would heavily bias things in favor of the SW characters.
