geebsWhat in the world? As I was walking back from getting lunch, saw some people doing a dance. At first, I thought they were stepping or somethink. But they were all asian girls. I think they might've actually been doing that Haruhi dance.
Anyways, its frickin' cold out there! Why is it chyx will wear sweaters in the summer in air conditioned places, but they'll wear skirts in cold weather?
Monday night TV commentary:
Hmm, I didn't realize the sequence at the end of last night's Chuck was an homage to/recreation of that scene in the Countdown episode of the OC when Ryan rushes to get to the New Year's Eve party on time to be with Marissa. They apparently even had the same song playing the background! No wonder it seemed extremely ghey. I did think it was an OC reference though, but the scene invoked in my head was when Ryan goes after Taylor at the end of the French Connection and "West Coast" is playing in the background but then its all in his head. Or her head. Same kinda scene though. Except in the latter scene, the girl wouldn't dump the guy whenever someone more messed up than him came along. Or at the very least, someone who would infuriate her mom more, like a Mexican yard guy or a hot lesbian.
On Heroes, Kensei and Hiro save Yakeo's dad. On their way to destroy White Beard's guns, Hiro teleports Yakeo to safety. Then she realizes Hiro was the guy in the armor she fell in love with. She leans in for a kiss and he briefly pauses on whether he should give in to his own desires, or stick with history. He says eff it and kisses her. Alas, Kensei secretly sees and confronts Hiro on it later. Hiro tries to be all noble and says he'll set aside love for the sake of the greater good, its too late, Kensei's made a deal with White Beard and knocks Hiro out.
Mo's doing tests on Monica, and Sammy Jenkis wants him to inject her with a strain of the Shanti virus that should take away her powers but might possibly kill her. Mo almost does, but then he gets all mad and destroys a whole batch of the stuff. Strangely enough, Sammy (Okay, "Bob") relents and says they shouldn't have asked Mo to do that and he starts acting all nice. He sends monica home with an excuse, and an ipod full of skills to learn. What the?! In the end, Mo gets partnered with Niki (though its prolly really Jessica)
Getting back to the muscle memory thing, hopefully they gave her some cool skills. If it were me, I'd want some parkour, videos of actual combat (UFC, videos of melee weapons fighting and shooting, etc) and Hollywood martial arts and gunplay. Nothing wrong with adding a little flash even if its not as effective. I mean, it'll sure freak your opponents out, and you'll have actual skills to fall back on if they're not intimidated.
Anyways, Claire and West play a prank on the bitchy head cheerleader that gets her suspended so Claire can be on the team. Her pops, meanwhile, tortures his former mentor in the Ukraine to get the rest of the paintings. Although that kinda torture is weird. He threatens to have the Haitian take away memories important to his mentor. Which is indeed scary. But once your memory is taken away, it not like he knows he ever had it. In one way, it doesn't leave any physical harm on the person, and while there's psychological damage, its not the typical PTSD sort of thing where you have flashes of horrible stuff. More like freaking out when you realize you have holes in your memory. So you could torture someone like that, and in the end, they won't even realize they've been tortured.
Is that even crueler though? Its like hacking off a limb, once the Haitian takes those memories, they can never be recovered. They're lost forever! Anyways, the mentor fesses up all he knows and then Noah kills him, because if they just leave him with his memory erased, the company will know its the Haitian. They find the pics, which are of a hand holding a vial, and a blonde locked in a room, and a broken nosed person shooting a gun.
In Montreal, Pete and Caitlyn go to the room and find a note from an Adam. Earlier in the ep, Bob had a folder of an "Adam Monroe". Could they be the same? And who is he? Anyways, Peter hugs her, and ends up teleporting into a plague-ravaged New York. How Five Years Later of them.
I almost forgot, Sylar and the wonder twins get across the border, Sylar convincing Maya to use her powers to kill the citizen's border patrol guys, and drive away, relying that she'll force her brother to revive him after they get away. So they get away, and when Maya's steps away for a bit, Sylar tells the non-English understanding Alejandro that he'll kill the two of them once he gets his powers back. And if he doesn't get his powers back, he's already started going all Darth Sidious on Maya, and will just continue seducing her to the dark side then.
