Man, I suck. Its like, how hard is it to drive an electric cart?
Anyways, Thursday night TV commentary:
So Clark finally meets his cousin. Heh, is it me, but when they were having their first real conversation, he looked all into her until she said she was his cousin and his face falls like, "Oh dang." Then again, the older comics, he and her seemed to have a really hincky relationship. Even Lois thought so.
Apparently she was sent like right after he left, but she crash landed in the lake and was stuck in suspended animation until the battle between supes and bizarro emptied it out. So even though she's supposed to be older than him, they're about the same age now. Anyways, she was clueless about Krypton's destruction and is all sad because now she and Clark are the last Kryptonians and its okay for Clark because he doesn't remember Krypton but she does. One thing she remembers- their dads didn't get along.
Her ship gets stolen, so they need to go find it. Oh, and when the car alarm on her ship trips, apparently it starts a nuclear countdown! Luckily, Clark and Kara find it in time before Grandville is nuked (Kara absorbs the blast somehow?) but it has a crystal that is apparently now missing. They don't know, but we know that its been stolen by some creepy looking dude who works for the "Department of Domestic Security". So with no ship she's homeless, so Clark invites her to stay at the farm. And that its human custom to sleep together naked. Okay, not really. He goes to visit Jor-el at the end, who tells him his thought are unnatural and wrong and he's going to hell. Again, not really, he tells him not to trust her.
In other character developments, Lois chases down the Kara ship story, but even though her efforts prove fruitless, the new editor (played by Zach from the OC/Cliff from Hidden Palms, I think, it sure does look like him) hires her anyways, hoping a little cousin rivalry will get some good work out of her and Chloe.
And we find out what happened with Lana- apparently Lex made a Lana real doll, which she stole and put in the car so the DNA would match up, and that's what got blown up. Anyways, he tracks her down, but apparently it was a trap so she could kill him. And he begs for her forgiveness and says he can make it so she'll be safe in Smallville? When did Lex get so pussified? Anyways, he tries to get her to kill him because he deserves it, but she relents.
An uneven ep, but I still enjoyed it. Pam's cute and all, but what's with everyone hitting on her? I mean, Toby, I understand because they work in the same office. But Ryan's been gone for months, and surely there are attractive girls in NY. But getting back to Toby, that whole thing with him finding out about Jim and Pam was hilarious! And oblivious Pam was all "Is this memo just your funny way of congratulating us?" Ha. how deliciously cruel!
Other things I liked- Kelly is a frickin' psychopath. But in a hysterical way. As is Creed. His whole trying to act young was too funny. Particularly when he was all, "Bro, can we get some red bull in the vending machines?" HA!
Heh, I like how the "story so far" in front of the s3 premiere of Supernatural was just an orgy of sex and violence. Kill some monsters, sleep with a hottie, kill some more monsters, sleep with more hotties. Getting to slay demons and screw around with lots of hot chicks? That sounds like the life! With Dean a walking dead man with only a year left to live, he's living it up, acting reckless and screwing around and eating unhealthy since he doesn't have to worry about it anymore. Anyways, apparently, one of the groups of demons they let loose were the seven deadly sins. And it took them like halfway through the ep to frickin' figure it out! They get help from a couple of fellow Hunters, a married couple, who end up biting off more they can chew by strolling straight into a demon bar.
The boys and Bobby manage to save the chick, but its too late for her hubby, who dies in a horrifying scene where Gluttony makes him guzzle a jug of draino. They capture envy and exorcise him, but the possessed innocent doesn't survive. They hole up as the remaining six hunt them. Bobby manages to trap Gluttony, with Lust and Dean tussling of course. Why is lust always a hot chick, and gluttony always a fat guy? Guys can be lustful, and chicks can be gluttons! Wife kills the one who now possessed her hubbies corpse by driving a piece of holy wood through his heart? And Sam is cornered by Pride and the remaining 2, and is save by Katie Cassidy, who wields a demon killing knife. This of course kills the possessed innocents as well, but she doesn't seem to care.
In the end, they managed to exorcise Gluttony and Lust, the only two to survive. Then Sam calls Dean out on being a total asshole now.
And a little WO talk. I guess the only think I don't like about the freedom you get in the new weapons system is the freedom you get in the new weapons system. I can be an obsessive compulsive perfectionist at times. Given the variety of characters, I'm convinced there's an optimal loadout for each one, and its not necessarily ice-bolt-slay-flash-might-brave-range-agility. I mean, its the "standard" I aim for when leveling up, and it works in many cases. But some could always use a little tweaking.
As I was saying ice didn't seem to ever come out for Honda and Keiji, even at higher levels. So I switched Keiji and Honda to flame. But then the last hit of Honda's SSSTTT was a nice juggle thing, making me change flame to air. Now I'm thinking I should switch them both to absorb so they can regain musou without having to change out. Why? Not because of their musou attacks, but their r1 buffs. They both have an att+ buff, with Honda getting a spd+ buff also, and Keiji's attacks becoming unblockable (not just the hits where elements come off, all of them!). So it seems to me being able to buff more often gives a better edge in damage potential than fire or air. Hmm, and I just realized, if one can do Keiji's buff more often, then that frees up a slot since you won't need flash anymore since all hits are unblockable. So mebbe switch air out for absorb for Honda and flash for absorb (keeping the flame/bolt combo) for Keiji? See, this is how I get!
