One important thing about the system in Orochi Warriors that I failed to mention- you have three characters, each with their own life bar, but additionally, the non-active characters life and musou bars regenerate when not in use. There's still meat buns and musou wines available, but part of the strategy is managing your characters effectively and keeping their bars up. Lest one think its too easy, it unfortunately follows DW where blocking won't work if the enemy's attack is higher than your defense. So if an officer hits you hard, you can switch to a character with more vitality while the hurt character recharges and run or continue or attack.

I think you always recharge. The book said something about being allied with your army or an ally army, like you had to be near your own troops to actually recharge, but there were times I was off on my own and still was regaining life/musou.

Anyways, more on TGS:

Star Wars: Force Unleashed- Gametrailers has a new video out on it. As they say in the video, you play Vader's secret apprentice in the time between RotS and ANH. Though honestly, looking at the way this guy uses the force, the developers liken him to a wrecking ball, and its an apt description. With what this guy can do, like the Emperor wouldn't know about him?! But what he can do is definitely bad ass. The Imperial chick in the game sounds hot with that hot English accent. The actress playing her might also be hot, but you only see her with all the dots on her face for the motion capture, so its hard to tell. She is a British model though. In any case, this game looks like it'll be bad-ass.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men- Some new gameplay footage has cropped up. Again, it has a very Heat-like feel to it. Though I wonder if they'll get a lot of flak from the anti-VG groups since you mow through lots of cops like wheat, and that's just the first level!

Rainy Woods- Is it me, or does the trailer for this game look very David Lynch-y? (heh, I was about to say Davis Lynch, but that's Helen Chapel's rich business man fiancee)

Dynasty Warriors 6- The new trailer looks visually impressive. And Zhao Yun's moveset looks better here than the current one in Orochi Warriors. People say its same old same old, but I don't see anything wrong with that. Its not trying to be innovative, some times you just wanna play a game where you get to kill a lot of stuff. In any case, Lu Bu looks monstrous, and I'm trying to figure out who the grey haired guy is? Maybe Sun Jian? Because they try to make him, Liu Bei, and Cao Cao look the same age, but Sun Jian is actually much older than the two.

Soul Calibur Legends- Looks like TGS revealed a new trailer and game play footage. Looks like its their attempt to make an adventure game along the lines of the Zelda or Metroid games, but with the Soul Calibur characters?

Random fact I learned today: The Chinook can outrun an Apache?!! I guess its got some big engines, but since it was old-ass and big as a bus and as inelegant as you can get, I never paid it any mind. But I guess it wouldn't be in service for so long if it wasn't good. I also did not know it was amphibious. Watching the military channel as I heated up my lunch, they showed them recovering what I assume was a SEAL team on a Zodiac boat by floating on the water, and then letting the boat just cruise on in the back ramp. Cool!

Yeah, the SC crew said they were doing to do something different for SC for the Wii for a while. I'm guessing this is because a) they wanted to use the hack and slash motion controls and b) the Wii doesn't have the graphics capabilities of the 360 / PS3, so porting SCIV over to Wii would be difficult / not look right.
