Geez, could there be more work to do today? Got the stuff I needed to get done done, and then a reasonable amount of my own project before dinner and prime time TV. Its the season finale of Jericho!

First big thing, Heather's alive! I knew it. She's picked up by some military folks (real ones it seems) and is taken to a hospital tent in some camp set up in Nebraska. She tries to get the military folks to intercede, but of course they're all, "not our job", and she learns the government has been unified (supposedly). Well mostly. Texas and a block of the East are still holding out.

Its the showdown between New Bern and Jericho. Interspersed between the action are flashbacks to April and Eric's wedding. (So we get April back as well!) Apparently Mayor Dad's dad is the Big Lebowski! Since this is before Jake left and "became a better man", apparently he's someone the family thinks will embarass the family on their wedding. In fact, they all write him a best man toast, because they don't trust him. He doesn't go with any of them of course, and it seems like it is indeed going to be embarassing at first, but then he comes through in the end.

Anyways, Hawkins tells Mayor Dad he can get satellite surveillance. Hilariously, he doesn't bat an eye, because its not the weirdest thing he thinks will happen that day. But of course, to add more drama, Hawkins' ex-boss, that Homeland Security guy (he thinks) starts trying to track him via the satellite uplink. Wait, shouldn't he know he's in frickin' Jericho? Its like he was supposed to go there, and Sarah was sent there, why not search the first place you expect him to be, instead of just assuming he left! But anyways, its like frickin' wargames, so when some code on screen is decoded, they'll have traced him, so its this whole deal where he's trying to keep the uplink up as long as possible to provide the valuable intel.

The Jerichoans hold up on a road by Stanley's farm that will be a good choke point. The New Berns have trucks with machine guns. Jake, Emily, and the other people there are pinned down, but then Stanley and Mayor Dad come in the tank. And use a frickin' mortar round in the main gun. You can't do that! But whatever. It scares off the New Berners. And despite all the lead flying, Mayor Dad gets hit. And dies!!! What the?! So everyone's sad, and Jake sends Gray away because he's too important?! Again, what the?! He's not that good of a leader that it will cause havoc if he dies as well! Of course, now everyone looks to Jake as a leader, which I guess is supposed to be a contrast to the whole Eric and April's wedding thing, where they thought he was a screw-up.

Of course, there's no rest for the weary, and the New Bernians start coming in with more trucks, and apparently a train full of men (if they're so hard up, where are all these frickin' people coming from?) But of course the bad guys manage to trace Hawkins. Its sort of good, sort of bad. I mean, Homeland Security guy now knows where Hawkins is, but then when the head of the base briefs some govt folks via teleconference, he mentions Heather's info about the fight between New Bern and Jericho. Since Homeland Security is at said teleconference and has just gotten the coordinates, he tells the colonel to head over there and crush the skirmish.

Anyways, Hawkins takes the tank and goes to stop the train, while everyone else gets ready for the trucks. Stanley gets kinda scared because he lurves Mimi and doesn't want to die, and Jake jinxes things by telling him he's going to be okay. Ha, and they were talking about the whole "Nuts" thing from WWII in the flashback, so when Constantino calls to apologize about Mayor Dad and tells them the New Berns are too desperate and too plentiful to stop, it was totally obvious that Jake was going to answer "Nuts" when Constantino tells them to surrender.

Argh, and then we end with 1) Heather looking kinda freaked when she sees the American flag as the army goes to Jericho, and sees a few less stars on it. 2) Hawkins shitting a brick as he sees the army choppers fly overhead and 3) the New Bernians taking up position at Jericho's fortification, and then Jake gives the order to fire, and fading to black.

So since last week, apparently Lucas has been taking both Peyton and Brooke to bed, the bastard! Not in that way, tho. They're just freaked out about the whole stalker boy thing. Skills, shows up and says he got a weird text from Mouth saying he was in Honey Grove, Texas and "Needs Ass" They assume its "Need Assistance". So Haley is all "Road Trip". So Brooke, Peyton, Lucas, Nathan, Haley, and Skills head off. Hales thinks he's okay, but of course, we cut to Mouth being tossed in a cell. Just when you think he's going to be beat up and/or gang raped, he helps one of the thugs outsmart a guard in chess, so they're cool. Then he tells them about frakking Shelley, then taking Brooke to prom, then leaving with Rachel, and they think he's so great.

Of course, the gang's SUV breaks down. And apparently, they were taking the back roads. Who takes the back roads on a road trip, that's the quickest way to get raped and eaten by psycho cannibal monsters! Lucky(?) for them, they don't get picked up by cannibals, but instead Chris Keller. What are the chances? He jokes around, but then takes Nate aside and tells him he's a lucky bastard being married to Haley.

They make it to Honey Grave and bail him out of jail. They of course, want details on what the hell happened. Apparently he was arrested for sleeping in the park because "Rachel is just gone". He doesn't elaborate at this point. Then they decide to crash Honey Grove's prom, given the craziness that ensued during there's. Oh wait, I forgot, they had like some contest to bring OTH to some town right? I guess Honey Grove is the winning town?

Anywhose, Mouth reveals a little more to Chris. He was all upset about Shelley and feeling down in the dumps, so Rachel built him up. But when they got to NOLA and they went on a road trip, Rachel tells him he's worthy. So he's feeling so great, but then later they're at a bar and she tells some other guy the same thing. So Mouth realized there'll always be someone else with her, so he went for a walk, realized how insane it was to run off on a road trip and miss his finals, and calls up Rachel and says he's going home. When he returned to their room, she was gone. Chris calls him lame for not effing her first before having his epihany.

It looks like things are cool between Peyton and Brooke again (nothing like almost getting murdered to bring to ex-best friends back together) as Brooke asks her to move into her old apartment (which she's getting back from Haley since Haley and Nate are moving in with his mom). And Lucas gets more clues about the whole Jimmy sitch from Skills, who tells Lucas he was so confused after the shooting that Jimmy would let Abby go because of her diabetes, and she was a stranger, but would end up shooting Keith, whom he knew for years.

Anyways, they make it to prom, and I guess these are actual kids from the town, and its kinda corny. Well, no kinda, its really corny. And Big D just remarked to me how he's totally offended at how they butchered "Good Vibrations".

Oh, and Brooke fesses up to Haley about how she, and not Rachel was the one who stole the test and cheated. Haley, needless to say, is kinda pissed about it. And Brooke is hurt that Haley's mad. And compounding that, then Brooke finds out Peyton and Lucas are finally doing it. So she walks off, and then realizes when Chris tries to bed her that she has to stop her drunken, sexing ways. So they go in his bus to talk. Also talking? Skills and Mouth, the former giving the latter a pep talk.

The morning after, Brooke offers to fess up to the principal, but Haley says they're cool and its not worth her not graduating or losing her clothing contract. And post-coitus, Peyton's all happy because she lurves Lucas.

When they finally get home, Nate tells Lucas a federal investigator has been questioning about point shaving. Not about himself though, but rather Lucas.

In the B-plot, Dan's looking for asthma Abby, and blackmails one of his underlings to find the identity of her cell phone owner, as he doesn't know who Abby is yet. Then Karen thinks someone broke into her house, so she calls Dan over to protect her. So she's feeling good about Dan, even though the scumbag killed her fiancee, his own brother. Of course, its still unbeknownst to her. Anyways, the cell was prepaid, but since all the students were fingerprinted after the school shooting, the underling was able to find Abby. He finds her address, but lucky for her Lucas shows up at her door first, the ep ends before we see what happens though.

Owel, I'll save the Lost commentary for when I get back from work.
