geebsIn preparation for Rocky Balboa coming out this week, watched Rockys I through IV with the usual suspects. I don't think I've actually ever seen the first one (well, maybe when I was a kid, but not since then) and I had seen most of 2 and 3 since its been on TNT and/or TBS forever. But now I can say I've seen all the Rocky movies all the way through. This last one should be interesting. And it had better be the last, I mean, how old is he supposed to be now, like 60?
Oh, and I've gotten halfway through Freaks and Geeks. The show continues to impress me. Its smart and funny. And I think it rings a little truer than other teen dramas. I mean, it just feels more real, you can empathize with the situations, because its stuff we've all gone through. Like the cringe-worthy moments make you cringe because you know what its like to be in those situations. And its still weird to see people guest starring who are more recognizable now. Last time I mentioned Rashida Jones, in the ep I just caught, Logan from GG has a bit part playing some jocko a-hole from a rival school. Weird!
Heh, is it me, or is this more like an entertainment blog than an account of my life? Part of it can be chalked up to not having that much of interest happenning right now. Its like tv is one of the most used tags, though redundant since when am I not talking about TV?! I'm reminded of that ep of the Office, when Jim returns to Scranton, and Kelly tells him about Brangelina and their kid (or was it TomKat? One of those super Hollywood couples) and Jim is all, "So what's been happenning with you?" and Kelly replies with, "I just told you!"
Actually, here's something about me. I have a much needed appointment with the dermatologist tomorrow morning (well, since its past midnight, in several hours) And I can't get to frickin' sleep! Owel, once I do that, then I'm set and my vacation will truly have started. Ah can't wait!
