People butting into things that have sweet effin a to do with them. cliffV('What's up with that?!') I wouldn't mind if they were actually helping but I already have it figured out, there's nothing left to do!
Where to start on Heroes? Hiro and Ando make it to the high school and he thinks he failed, as he hears about Jackie's death, not knowing she's not the cheerleader they're supposed to save. But Eden slips Isaac a cellphone and a card key so he can escape and meet up with them. They go to the burnt toast diner and shoot the bull (Isaac tells them the cheerleader is safe, and Hiro shows him the future comic to prove his powers and tells Isaac about his death). Isaac tells them he can't seem to draw the future without chasing, but then hearing about Hiro's attempt to save Charlie and how close they were, he looks at his skectch book (all done while clean) and sees that's the scenes he drew were about Hiro and Charlie. So, he's finally able to have the confidence to draw the future without being high, and draws Hiro with a katana fighting a T-rex. Interesting!
On the Niki/DL/Micah front, Niki's first shot just clips him, and now that he's alert, he phases out to avoid the other shots. By the time she gets down from her perch to finish him off, he and Micah are gone. They run off into the woods, Niki in pursuit. There's a moment where Niki and Jessica argue, Niki telling Jessica she's gone too far. Micah finds "Niki", though its really Jessica pretending to be her. Micah's no fool though, and he leads her into a trap. DL and Jessica tussle, and Micah gets knocked down and hurt, which is enough for Niki to wrest back control. She realizes she can't be trusted though, as Jessica could come back at any time, so she runs off and turns herself in to the cops.
Claire visits Peter in his cell and they have a nice moment, as he's the first "super" she's met, and she's all touched when she finds out he didn't know he had absorbed her healing powers when he pushed Sylar off the roof, so he was being all self-sacrificial. At first, I'm thinking they're gonna try to hook these two ep in a few months when she's 18, but now I'm thinking they have more of a brotherly/sisterly vibe going right now. Anyways, the biggest Claire development? She reveals her secret to HRG, and surprisingly he reveals that he knew all along! She reveals her brother and Zach know her secret as well. HRG sends the Hatian (seriously, if he never talks, as Eden claimed how do people know he's Hatian?) to mind wipe them. Its particularly sad for Claire and Zach, as we find out Claire has only rekindled her friendship with Zach within the past two weeks, and all that's been erased, so as far as he's concerned, they haven't spoken since 6th grade! Her father scared her with stories about dangerous people who'd try to harm her, so at first she thinks its one of these people, but then the Hatian guy sneaks into her room. And speaks! He says he works for her dad and was sent to mindwipe her, and reveals that he's mindwiped her mom countless times before. But he feels she needs to remember and asks her if she can keep a secret before the scene cuts off.
Peter spends most of the ep at the police station, and is even interviewed by Matt and Audrey. Heh, Matt and Peter get into a feedback loop as Matt tries to read Peter's mind as Peter unwittingly gains Matt's telepathy. Audrey also interviews Claire, but Matt's attempts to mindread them are blocked by the Hatian- the static of which he remembers before his "lost" day. After a cute little scene where Audrey "thinks" Matt is kinda cute and she's all embarrassed realizing Matt totally heard that, and they talk about his marriage and how he should work on it and you know they're totally gonna do it in a few eps. But, the banter is interrupted when Matt sees HRG and the Hatian come out of the station and fights through the static to recover that one of them was thinking "Sylar".
Speaking of old Sylar, he's being kept in a room that supposedly blocks his powers. HRG and Sylar menace each other, and Eden is pissed when HRG talks to someone on the phone and then is all, "We're not killing him!" Apparently, she really was friends with Papa Suresh. She gives Mohinder a call, saying she needs to right a few things and then says she'll explain everything. Then she goes to Sylar's cell and slips him a gun, voicing him to kill himself. Either Sylar was playing possum, or he figured out how to get around the room's dampening effects, but he pulls Eden through the window and is about to suck her brain which she puts a bullet in her head to prevent him from stealing her power.
(Thinking about it now, given she was trying to avenge Chandra, did she not know he was already dead when she first met Mohinder? She seemed upset, but I guess she could be just acting and pretending this is the first she's heard of it but was still upset nonetheless. Also, Sylar acted like he was able to sense Teek guy's abilities in Six Months Ago, but he totally missed her, the literal "girl next door", couldn't tell it was Claire and not Jackie who had the powers, and totally missed Hiro even though he was staring right at him and Charlie during their whole flirtation.)
Anyways, getting back to Peter, Nathan flies down and bails him out. I should say that Peter has been visibly sick and getting worse the entire ep. Eventually, he passes out in front of the police station and has another prophetic dream. Its obviously the day of the bomb, on a street in front of Nate's campaign HQ. Everyone's there- he sees Mohinder get out of a cab, Matt trying to direct people somewhere, DL, Niki, and Micah together and heading that direction. Peter's in the middle of the street, and it looks like he's losing control. Hiro and Ando turn a corner and stare at him mournfully, and Claire runs up to him, stops and then mouths "I'm sorry!" looking all sad before running away. Simone tries to run to him, shouting and upset like he's about to die, but Isaac pulls her away. Peter's getting ready to blow up, and Nathan walks out of the campaign HQ and heads right for him, then we cut to the real world, Peter on the floor being all "OMG, its me, I blow up!" before slipping into a coma.
So, it looks like he'll absorb that Ted guy's power and explode? I'm guessing Nate will finally embrace his heroicness and grab Peter and fly out of the city so he won't kill thousands of peeps when he explodes? I definitely can't wait for the show to return!
