Damn, just another Monday morning. And its the start of classes, so you got all these professors calling about stuff in the classrooms not working. Boy, do I feel like crap. I sat up in bed all night thinking, and didn't get to sleep until around 3, giving me a nice three hours of sleep last night.

Saw 24 started up again last night. So 2 hours last night and 2 hours tonight. But when is it on normally?

Was flicking through the channels yesterday and saw this Sarah Polley movie, "My Life Without Me" about this dying chick who doesn't tell anyone she's dying but tries to get things settled and live life to her fullest. So, when she's leaving the tapes for her family members explaining why she didn't tell them she was dying, on the tape to her husband, she does this heart-wrenching, slightly off key rendition of the Beach Boys' "God Only Knows". How sad. As sad as that one ending in that "Little Sister Kana" game where you're listening to a recording of her last message to you and she's trying to be strong and doing the advising you how to live on thing, but breaks down in the middle of it because she wants to live and not leave you but manages to re-compose herself. Or in the season finale of DC, when Jen, who had been up until that point all cool and accepting of her dying starts having a panic attack at the thought of leaving her little girl alone in the world. I mean, in all these scenarios, they've managed to come to terms with their terminal illness for the most part, but then you see those times when the fear creeps back in, not of death, but of having to leave those they care about behind? Talk about depressing. But I digress, I didn't intend to go down that road, I was more wanting to talk about what a sad and beautiful song "God Only Knows" is. Well, that and that "Wouldn't It Be Nice" song of theirs. Those are some good songs, even though I think "Wouldn't It Be Nice" is so naive. Like they think things will be so great once they're older. Ah, the idealism of youth. But people's dads not liking Pet Sounds. cliffV('What's up with that?!') Oh, but getting back to that movie, finding a really nice lady with the same name as you and seeing that she's really good with your kids and sweet and really pretty to boot, so you try to fix her up with your husband as your replacement after you die of your terminal disease? Weird! Well, not like fix her up like you setting them up on dates and stuff, but inviting her over and making her part of the family in the hopes that he'll seek solace in her once you're dead and hopefully ends up marrying her and since she's good with your kids already slides into the role of their new mother real well is a little weird I think. Though I guess she's just trying to make sure things work out for her family after she's gone and she sees this other girl as a really good fit.

And its lunch time now. The Student Center better be open now, or I shall be very put out. And the arcade should be open too. I wonder when they'll get a Tekken 5 machine?
