geebsDamn, I was supposed to have my interview at 9, but they missed the fact that the other guy on shift with me had a dentist appointment this morning, so they're gonna wait for him. And he did say he would try to make it in asap. Its still sucks though, because I just want to get this over with. I mean, I guess having a few more hours to study up is good, but then there's all the worrying. Hopefully, I'll do okay.
Dressed "up" for this. Which means instead of wearing a T-shirt and jeans/cargo pants/khakis or whatever, I'm wearing a polo shirt with khaki cargo pants. I mean, there's no need to dress too fancy, and I still have to work and might have to get down and dirty. Heh, the shirt, which I got from AE has "AE Company, Phys Ed department" emblazoned on it, in the upper left chest area. The boss was trying to read it as he came in this morning then was all, "Is that like some school you went to?" Ha! Although, what is with these designers nowadays making up fake schools and businesses for their shirts? Are they trying to be like those shirts at thrift stores, where you can find some unique shirt with a funny saying on it or belonging to some weird small business? But its designer quality and price!
Wednesday night TV was cool. Lost was interesting. Not as "woah!" as last weeks, but still pretty good. Smallville was hilarious! Sure, it got cheesy at times, but I thought it was very enjoyable, especially the dynamic between Flash and Supes (though it was kinda gay!). But hey, the Red Sox one, cool. They were in the lead when we switched to Smallville, and I was worried for a second there that the Yankees would somehow find a way to end up tying it. (Though not worried enough that I was gonna watch the game instead! Be serious!)
Oh, I can't remember if I had mentioned here that I finally beat XML! It was a cake walk, given my characters level. Well, I acutally had to redo the boss fight against Magneto, since I ended up having to change my team. The first time fighting him was going great, but then he got down to like a quarter hit points, and for some reason nothing I did would take his health down. He wasn't hurting me either, so it was a stalemate. Reloaded. switched out Jean for Psylocke, as she's my heavy hitter against non-robots/sentinels, and that seemed to solve the problem. dashoka wanted to borrow this. Alas, since there's no game plus or anything, he's free to. So, now I'm working on Bloodrayne 2. Its been fun so far. I actually entered in one of the cheat codes though, the one that unlocks all the outfits, just to see what was available. Some interesting outfits there. Been tempted to try out Shadow Hearts: Covenant, Gabe and Tycho of Penny Arcade talking about it has piqued my interest. They're pretty good at assessing games, even though they won't actually officially review them.
