Last night was Todd's going away party at the Peachtree Houston's. It was fun, though kinda weird given I rarely associate with work peeps outside of work (except for [livejournal.com profile] phatjoe and the gma, but they don't count since I already knew them from before) Anyways, headed there with [livejournal.com profile] clevemire, and also wishing Todd goodbye where Urkel, Andrew, Russ, and Dorsey, but David showed up at the end. Like I said, it was a good time, and the food was great. The waitress was also kinda cute. Todd wanted me to call in sick so we could do some more celebrating at the Pony, but alas, I didn't want to throw around that kinda money right now. Soon, though. I know Charlie is a little peeved that we haven't gone there for my "new vision" celebration.

Got back, and caught Scrubs and Gilmore Girls off the PVR. The season opener was pretty interesting, starting from even before the end of last season's finale. It was neat to see the same scene from another perspective. Though its strange that OTH employed a similar technique for their season premiere. I figured they'd do that though, make the opener resolve last ep, then next ep they jump ahead to Rory and Emily coming back from their European trip. It looks like things are looking good for Lorelai andd Luke, but I don't think Rory/Dean are long for this world, especially how they're painting him out to be this huge prick. I feel sorry for Lindsey (who's looking fly in this ep). But who gets so egg-cited about making the perfect pot roast. Alas, the perfect roast will not sway your cheating hubbie back to you, honey.

OTH was interesting, but I don't know if I'll continue to watch it. Its a little ridiculous that Lucas and Keith came back after a couple of days. And in what world would Hayley's parents be able to justify that its okay for their teenage daughter to get married (and she's not even knocked up!) Besides, TWoP stopped doing recaps for it. Half the fun of watching these shows is reading the recaps and the forums. I know, I am so lame. Speaking of lame, I saw in the latest EGM previewing the games coming out in the next few months, they have a karaoke revolution 3. Now you can do duets and sing-offs. Awesome. I know, again, I am so lame.

I did end up calling out today, but that's because I had to take care of car stuff. Certain records I needed weren't where I thought they were, but I eventually found them this morning. And they also moved up my claims inspection, so being out worked out. Killed time getting my comics at Oxford then picking up my game at Lenox and having lunch. After reading the latest ish of Astonishing X-men, I can really see Joss's influence in it, with the good mix of levity and tension.

Took my car to the place. Jeez, their estimate is around $1200. Holy crap, I didn't think it would be that much. Like the guy said, its just enough damage to be aggravating. Very minor. I'm glad I don't have to pay any of that.
