Boy, am I exhausted. I have not been able to sleep before 1am all week. But is a new day, hopefully today will be better than yesterday. When I finally left work, things were looking up though. The DVDs I ordered came in, so decided to relieve stress by watching those and trying out Transformers before I headed over to [livejournal.com profile] zarathrustra94 and [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler's to slay elves with them and [livejournal.com profile] hippieatheart and [livejournal.com profile] sstrickl. Well, tried to play TF, but was interrupted by a troubling call that I won't detail in a public post.

TF is pretty cool. Actually, it had me doing that transforming sound even more than normal, if that's even possible. Still getting the hang of it though, since I'm not too great at 1p/3p shooters. I mean, DMC and RE have auto aim, MGS I can just sneak up and pop their heads off from the shadows, and DW and Onimusha I can just wade in and rrv('carve them up!') But I'm getting better. And the ability to transform is quite useful for getting away when you start getting overwhelmed. Well, if you're not in a cramped place. But it also makes getting around faster. Too bad I'm not that great at driving games either. I'll be zooming around, see a group of enemies and try to ram them (another cool tactic) and end up flying by them instead. But as Penny Arcade said, the whole mini-con aspect kicks. I don't have that many yet, but I'm eager to start experimenting with load outs.

After getting over to C&Ts for geek fun, sis lent me the latest Kare Kano and Mars sidestory. Which is good, but a little distracting from Potter. The problem I have with books is I'm good at compartmentalizing and knowing exactly where I am in a story. Its like putting a mental pause on it. So, if I'm reading a novel, but something shorter comes along, rather than finishing it and reading the other thing later I end up going and finishing up the quicker thing first. Its like, ah can't wait, and since the shorter book has the quicker pay-off, I go with that. Owel, I vow to have both those and CoS finished by the end of this weekend.
