geebsWent to Baccanalia for Lunch on Saturday. I was confused at first, because I was all, "Isn't that the $100 per person place"? But apparently they serve samiches at lunch. Normally, I'm skeptical about such places, because while the food may taste good, the price you pay is high compared to the portions you get. But Surpisingly enough, I found their $9 samiches quite filling. Its a decently sized samich, and the size of the side you get (I got the pasta w/roasted tomatos) is also big compared to what I usually expect from such places. Anyways, I had ha;f of their meatball samich. and traded the other half for the roomie's grilled cheese and bacon. Both were really tasty. I also picked up a peanut-butter/chocolate bar there for desert. It was awesome.
Afterwards, I finally beat Via Infinito in FF X-2. That last boss combo of Paragon and Trema was a huge bitch. I kept on dying and having to do it over, cursing the game for a couple of hours. The FAQ had some crazy strategy that entailed collecting a crapload of items and fighting a bunch of the Ultima/Omega weapons to oversoul Paragon, and then the battle was supposed to take about 45 minutes. I had not time for such things, so I decided I'd just try and sledgehammer my way through. With the cat-nip/speed bracer/mounted assault combo on Yuna, I just had to get her to critical hp and do trigger happy, and that's 180.000 pts of damage right there. With Paragon having only 200,000, that part of the battle wasn't a big deal as long as he attacked the right people. I had Paine with Adamantite and the Higher Power garment grid, so she was had really high defense and HP. So if he focused on her and didn't kill the other two, I was good. Now Trema, that guy had me cursing. I tried employing the same strategy of just hitting him with triggerhappys, but after getting down low enough, he'd start throwing out Meteos and Ultimas. That combined with his damn speed had him wiping my party out time after time. Finally, I decided to take one of the FAQs suggestions and use a soul spring. I don't know if that actually helped. I thought Trema had 9999 mp and it ended up draining 998 mp. But he didn't kick off any of his spells and finally Yuna turned him into swiss cheee. Thank goodness. And now I have an Iron Duke.
Owel, on the way back from C+Ts that night, a bunch of Ricers buzzed by me on 400. I was all, what is this, the Fast and the Furious? There seem to be a lot of Ricers up in Alpharetta.
Had lunch at Sal Grosso's yesterday. Filling, as always. And they had the brassy song playing! Went to church, watched some of the Grammys, went to bed early since I was feeling tired. Kitty gave me a call at 2230. She told me she was leaving for the Marines today, down in one of the Carolinas, I don't recall off the top of my head righ now. I want to say she's going to Camp Lejune, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Owel, I hope she does well with that.
