ME3 blather- Almost done with my insanity run, right at Cerberus HQ. Also figured out how to edit my ME3 save files. Well, enough to switch the Virmire survivor to Kaidan instead of Ashley. It'll be a pain in the ass though. So to actually get gibbed to work with PS3 ME3 files, you have to decrypt the save with Brute Force, rename it with the .xbsav extension, use Gibbed on the renamed file, rename it back to normal, then re-encrypt the save. But that's not even the pain in the ass part!

To get the plot flags to work right in a new game plus, after I beat the game with whichever save I'm importing, I have to use gibbed to modify the "legend" save file on that save. THEN, I have to beat it again for it to work properly. Supposedly you could you just modify the autosave on the new game you start, but that didn't work, Ashley was still around. I mean, you could also make a save right after you regain control of Shep at the start, but then the codex is all messed up because it lists Ashley under known associates even though Kaiden is your squadmate now. And the anal-retentive part of me can't abide such a bug.

Of course, my paranoid ass also has to upload the save I'm going to work on to my PS+ account first, and then make an additional "before" copy on a different folder on my computer. Then after I work the magic and start a new game with Kaiden being the alive one, I'll overwrite the save I modified with the original file from PS+, since the modified file would have the Kaidan flag set to alive even though Ashley's the one I went through the entire game with and I don't know what kinda bugginess that would cause if I revisited that save.

It will be nice to finally get a chance to try Kaidan out. I like that he has reave and overload (and I can unlock reave as a bonus power after all this time), I won't be limited to Liara and Javik if I want to go biotic. I mean, Javik and Kaidan would have no biotic detonators other than Javik's lift grenade, but I could at least do Kaidan and Liara and be able to do reave/warp and still have overload available for other situations.

EDIT: NVM, for some reason I thought reave wasn't a detonator, but it is. I dunno why I thought it wasn't. I guess because my only experience with it is in MP. Its been a while, but I guess I only remembered using it as a primer (since the drell adept is kinda fragile and needs the DR from tagging someone with it) and detonating it with cluster grenades. But I guess I do recall occasionally pulling with the drell and justicar and then popping things with reave.
