Jan. 9th, 2016 10:14 pmFinally caught up on Man Seeking Woman, so now I'm catching up on the first season of Broad City since I hadn't actually watched it before checking out the second season when it came out.
Caught Hateful Eight with the usual suspects. During the opening it said it was the eighth film by Tarantino. Which, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Inglorious Basterds, and Django Unchained for sure, but I wasn't sure if rounding it out were a) the two Kill Bill movies counting as one, plus Death Proof, or b) Death Proof didn't count since it was half of Grindhouse.
It was fine, a little more talk-y than his usual fare. I mean, Tarantino is all about the dialogue, but this was even more so than usual. It was kinda like the Tarantino equivalent of a bottle episode, since the majority of it takes place in a Haberdashery. There was some action, and it was definitely pretty gory, sometimes comically so.
Afterward, hit Cinco for lunch, then played a game of Zombicide. We were doing pretty well, but then we had a bit of bad luck and got wiped out pretty quick.
