Aug. 16th, 2015 11:07 pmSo, went up to NYC for K's wedding. Got here Thursday afternoon, Friday was the rehearsal dinner. I was all egg-cited because I heard it the dinner portion was going to be at a Brazilian Steakhouse. So I had a light lunch in preparation, but come to find it was at the hotel across the street NEXT to the Brazilian Steakhouse. sparkyboy was supposed to read the intentions, but he didn't like it being sprung on him so I got roped into it instead.
The wedding was nice, had some Filipino and African American traditions thrown in, although some of the flowers set up in the church got knocked over a couple of times, making a bit of a mess. The reception was at Leonard's Palazzo in Nassau, and they sprung for the total package. Cocktail hour with open bar and a nice spread (shrimp bar, pasta bar, cold cuts and cheese, roasted turkey and pork tenderloin). Open bar carried over to the dinner, where there were four choices of entree. Fancy!
After cocktail hour was done and it came time to move upstairs for the main reception, there was this one smoking hot snowflake in a sexy blue dress who was part of another party on the same floor. Interestingly enough the only party on out floor was a sweet 16. I mean, the lady was definitely older than that, so mebbe she was just a hot older sister or cool aunt.
Ha, R was totally telling me to take her son/my godson over there to help him get some (how would I be able to help with that?) and find someone age appropriate (well, she said make sure they're legal) for myself. Ha, I knowdurlxnemesis and his bro were trying to work their military uniforms to pick up chyx like the concierges and bartenders.
But yeah, it was a fun reception, even if the DJ didn't play any of the stuff I requested beforehand.
Today, spent most of the day watching my brother play "Life Is Strange". I think I'll definitely download it when I get home, it seems very cool and interesting.
