Jan. 10th, 2015 04:47 pmHad Dim sum for brunch with the usual suspects, then saw Taken 3 sans C-note. Which was a little weird, since he's the biggest fan of the series. Eh, it was fine, not as good as the first, maybe slightly better than the second?
TV commentary:
Glee- So here's the performances from the first ep, "Loser Like Me":
Uninvited:
The Alanis song, as done by Rachel. Boo, people of America in the Glee universe for not watching Rachel's crappy show and making her all sad!
Suddenly Seymour:
The Little Shop of Horrors Tune, as done by Rachel and Blaine, trying to pick themselves up after all the crappy things that happened between seasons.
Dance the Night Away:
The Van Halen song, as done by the new Schue-coached Vocal Adrenaline. Weird, I didn't realize the new VA lead singer was one of the guys from The Wanted.
Sing:
Amusingly enough, the third time Glee has done a song called "Sing", this time the Ed Sheeran one, by the new Blaine coached Warblers.
And finally, Let It Go:
The Frozen hit, obviously done to capitalize on the popularity of that property, and done by Rachel since Elsa is voiced by her TV mother.
Next, the performances from "Homecoming":
Take on Me:
The A-Ha classic, done by the ND alumni. Heh, were the characters even born when this video came out?
Problem:
The Ariana Grande song, done by Artie and the Unholy Trinity. Heh, I didn't catch that they had Santana singing the song of the girl who shacked up with her ex-fiancee.
Tightrope:
The Janelle Monae song, as done by newbie Jane. Huh, I didn't realize she was the female lead from the US tour of the Book of Mormon.
Mustang Sally:
The Wilson Pickett song as done by Roderick.
Home:
The Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes song as done by the old and new ND- Jane, Roderick, and the "incest twins" Madison and Mason. Isn't it kinda a weird song for a brother and sister to sing to each other?
