May. 23rd, 2014 10:45 amSo here's a list of the 2013-2014 prime time programs, ranked by nielsen rating. So the top 10 are:
1) NBC Sunday Night Football
2) Big Bang Theory
3) NCIS
4) NCIS: LA
5) Dancing with the Stars
6) The Blacklist
7) The Voice
8) Person of Interest
9) The Voice, Tuesday edition
10) Blue Bloods
I'm amused that most of the non-reality/sports shows on that list are CBS, except for the Blacklist. I had no idea it was so popular. Also, I didn't realize NCIS: LA was that popular. I mean, I actually like it more than normal NCIS now, since its a lot more action oriented, I just didn't think it would be back to back.
But I guess that the fact they are actually back to back in the schedule helps it a lot. Same for Person of Interest. Tuesday nights is a ratings juggernaut for CBS, with all of their Tuesday night programming being on the top 10 in viewership (according to the Nielsens) But yeah, its cool to see Person of Interest is up there. What's not to like:
1) action and intrigue
2) kinda sci-fi-ish
3) they're not too heavy handed with their political commentary
4) hot chyx like Amy Acker and Sarah Shahi
5) The fact that said hot chyx are totally shippable as a hot bad-ass lesbian assassin couple. (still don't know if the better portmanteau is "shoot" or "raw") Whatever, you can't tell me Root isn't relentlessly flirting with Shaw whenever they talk.
If they could somehow work a musical number in there, it'd be my perfect show.
