Mar. 2nd, 2014 03:55 pmFirst listen Glee Sundays! Ooh, Danny's Song, Don't You (Forget About Me), and Hold On? This week's selection rocks!
Danny's Song- Loggins and Messina, as done by Will and Emma. Unfortunately, so far I've only seen a preview for this song going around, whereas the full versions have been released for every other song for this week's ep. I shall be quite annoyed if this song is cut. Speaking of Kenny Loggins, this week the Cherlene album from Archer comes out, which includes a duet with him and Cherlene (whose vocals are provided by Jessy Lynn Martens) of Danger Zone. But the rest of the album sounds pretty cool too.
EDIT- finally heard the full version. Its pretty good, although they say its Will and Emma, but ostensibly its just Will, with occasional backup on the chorus with Emma.
Hold On- the Wilson Phillips song, as done by ND and Pamela Lansbury. Thankfully, they didn't do it weirdly like they did Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are". Not that I hated their version of that song, its just different enough that it throws me off when I sing along by myself in the car or whatever. But yeah, they're version is fine, though they do cut about 10 seconds off the original.
Don't You (Forget About Me)- Simple Minds, done here by Sam, Tina, and Blaine. Again, thankfully a faithful rendition to the original, they don't do anything weird or different with it.
Jumpin' Jumpin'- Blaine, Sam, and Tina again, doing the Destiny's Child song. Hey, I think its fine. In fact, its jumpin jumpin.
Barracuda- Heart, by Elliot and Rachel. Pretty rockin, I think they do a good job,
Gloria- The Laura Branigan song done by Rachel, Santana, and Elliot. I think its fine.
The Happening- The Supremes song by Kurt, Elliot and Dani. Eh, not my kinda song, but I guess they do okay.
