ME blather- Finally played every character in multiplayer. Well, except for the Volus, but I draw the line at goofy, midget butterballs. But now that I've experienced them all, and am familiar with all the powers in the game, I'm confident I can easily complete the requisite number of extracts to beat all their challenges. Well, I still haven't gotten the hang of the talon mercenary. Mebbe because I'm trying to use his omni-bow all the time in lieu of my actual weapon. I think I should be using my gun as normal, and learn the appropriate scenarios to switch to my bow.

But yeah, retried the Krogan Shaman and Asari Huntress today after having not touched them in a long time. The thing about the Krogan Shaman is he's an adept that's ridiculously more durable than the other adepts, being a krogan with barrier to boot. He can't dodge though, so one needs to be careful. But unlike normal adepts, you can get in the thick of it with him, blasting away with shotgun and heavy melee-ing until your powers recharge. Since he has warp, he can detonate anything, but he also has shockwave to detonate powerful biotic explosions by himself.

And having played this game enough, I kinda tweaked how I played the huntress. Just because she's an infiltrator doesn't mean I need to use a sniper rifle! I just need something decent to use while my powers charge. But yeah, light things up with dark channel, which should really eat through the enemy ranks, especially if I'm cloaked since the asari cloak damage bonus does apply to powers. And then when my powers are available again, warp the current enemy tagged with dark channel for a biotic explosion

Tried the Batarian slasher and Vorcha Hunter as well for the first time. Like the shaman, the slasher is pretty durable for an adept. What makes him devastating, I think, is that he has warp and clusters. So he can easily set off biotic explosions pretty near instantaneously, especially against boss units, since they're big and hard to miss with the clusters. I wasn't too keen on the hunter at first because he didn't have flamer. But having beaten the batarian sentinel challenge, I've developed an appreciation for the submission net. Plus he has incinerate instead of carnage, which is more useful.

I still enjoy the flamer more, but the submission net/incinerate gives me more range. I mean, with the flamer, I can melt anything that gets close and easily activate bloodlust with just a few sweeps of purifying flame. The problem comes in on long maps, particularly activation objective rounds where I might not have anyone close to keep up bloodlust and then get picked off while I'm doing the device. But submission net can hit from long range, plus it can lock groups of opponents down while I do my thing. Same for incinerate, I can hit a big group from afar and automatically have the required number of kills for bloodlust to go off instantly.

But yeah, my current rank is 319th in the US and 753rd world wide. Here's hoping I can at least reach 250/500 by the time I've done everybody.
