Oct. 22nd, 2013 08:22 amSo the new Katy Perry album dropped today. (also grabbed the new Fifth Harmony EP) I think its fine, though my favorites off the album were the previously release singles a few weeks ago, "Dark Horse" and "Walking On Air". (Still not a fan of Roar) I think of the rest of the album, the songs sticking with me so far are "International Smile", "By the Grace of God", and "Double Rainbow".
Anyways, I mention the album because the next Glee ep after the World Series is called, "A Katy or a Gaga", obviously indicating they're doing Katy Perry and Lady Gaga songs. But I think they did it too early, since Katy just released her new album today, and Artpop doesn't come out until next month. Like why would you do an ep about them BEFORE their new albums, when you can do it after and cover new songs. I mean, according to my sources, they are doing the first singles that dropped from those albums, "Roar" and "Applause", but they could've covered some more new stuff, since their previous albums have been out a while, so if there was something they wanted to do off those, why not have done them already. (The other two songs in the ep I hear are "Wide Awake" and "Marry the Night")
But yeah, looking further, it looks like they're doing a Billy Joel tribute near the end of November? One of the tracks they're doing is "You May Be Right", which I could've sworn Puck did, but I guess not? It seems like a song he would do. But I guess he has done "Only the Good Die Young" (which I guess is another appropriate song for him). But ooh, they are doing "Just the Way You Are", which is my favorite Billy Joel song, slightly edging "She's Always a Woman".
You know, I'm amused when a ship on a show makes a portmanteau that is an actual word. But it does make it hard to find it on tumblr through the tag. Like its fine when its like a real word, but slightly off, like Pepperony or Caskett. But if its like lemonade or skate or jacket, you not surprisingly get posts about lemonade, skating or jackets.
