So this Friday (National Donut day, apparently?) Dunkin Donuts is taking their "glazed donut breakfast sandwich" nationwide. Its like a breakfast Luther- a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich with the "bread" being a sliced glazed donut. Of course, if they threw a sausage patty in there, it would be perfect. Hopefully the Tech Dunkin Donuts will have it (though I guess a Dunkin Donuts did just open up down the road from home as well). If they do, I know what I'm having for breakfast that day!

ME blather- Got commando mastery over the weekend, but not starting machine mastery just yet. Been working on Collector mastery to complete the weapons tab and doing some of the weapon challenges under the Aliens tab- so the Kishock and Krysae for now, but I'll also have to do the Javelin and Arc Pistol towards Machine Mastery.

When I first tried the Krysae, I was kinda meh on it, but trying it again months later, its actually pretty fun to use. Particularly with cryo rounds. Sure, the rounds don't penetrate cover, but since they're proximity fused, you just have to fire in their general direction. And with cryo rounds things will shatter and explode with one shot.

Okay, I can see the frustration of the "nerdsbians" and the clear queer baiting SyFy is pulling. This was on the OFFICIAL Warehouse 13 page this afternoon:

What the frick?! Contrast this with the Rizzles Season 4 promotional poster:

rizzles-handcuffs

The Rizzoli and Isles poster is very lesbionic, but the characters supposedly aren't lesbians, and nothing in the poster necessarily says they are gay. Its subtext. Pretty blatant subtext, but subtext nonetheless.

That WH13 pic though, that is not subtext, that is literally text. They are outright saying Myka is Helena's ex when on the show she is not. And mind you, this isn't some fan made thing, this is "official" promotional material. I can see lesbians feeling like the show is pulling the old bait and switch on them. Its like, the promos act all, "Hey, these two ladies are gay for each other!" But then in the actual show, there is nothing of the sort. They talk about how they're just really good friends. As I said in my post about the ep, sure, you could easily read subtext into all their interactions if you are so inclined. But it is kinda insulting for the show to acknowledge outside of the actual show that the two have chemistry and are all in lesbians with each other, but then straight it all up on the show itself. Would it really take away from the show if either were lesbians?
