May. 8th, 2013 08:47 amME blather- Cool, looks like I'm in the top 2% on the challenge rankings. Finally got the combat mastery banner too! Which means I can get challenge points for head shots/grenade use/melee again. Owel, just working towards completing up Earth mastery now, with the Fury, Shadow, and I guess Slayer? I haven't actually extracted with him yet, but I was more concentrating on getting biotic slash mastery to pop and haven't played him "for real" yet.
I mean, I think the Earth mastery banner will be quicker to get than the Commando one, so I'm working on that first. Of course, the Earth ones, I actually have to successfully extract. Commando, I just have to complete a certain number of waves for 7 more of the commando characters, which is more characters than the Earth one. But like I said, I only have to complete waves. Not that I foresee having any trouble extracting with the Earth characters. But the Fury, Shadow, and Slayer are all kinda squishy, so it will be luck of the draw on the objectives. Devices as always are my biggest bane.
Which 7 for the Commando mastery though? I mean, Cabal Vanguard, obviously, I'm already almost 75% of the way through her since I had to use her for Reckoning mastery. The Ghost and Havoc, as I can also use them towards Retaliation mastery (which does mean successful extractions though) The Salarian Infiltrator, since I assume I'd just play that like the engineer, except I have cloak instead of decoy. Then, Asari Vanguard and Huntress, leaving one more. Turian sentinel prolly?
But going for all that means I should easily get spectre mastery- I already amassed the required number of waves and medals, I just need roughly 1.9 million more points. Which at my normal accrual rate is only 20 more matches. I mean, Earth mastery will take at least 15 more matches (more if I fail to extract) and commando mastery, at least another 115. (Well, 1151 waves). So its a given.
Oh, did finally amass enough credits in the Armax Arena in single player to get all my weapons to X. So now I have everything maxed. Heh, you know I've actually held off on holding the party? I guess since the party in the apartment seems so final- as this great article about what's great about the ME series states, its like the hidden happy ending for the series. So I wanted to get everything done before I did it since it seems like more of an end than the actual end.
Still deciding if I want to do one last playthrough on single player on insanity to get the last two single player achievements. I mean, I'd be maxed out all the way, so not only will my character be as good as he will ever be, I don't have to worry about trying to get this or that, I have everything, so I can just concentrate on kicking ass. sparkyboy can beat the game on insanity, I should be able to. After all, I am the bigger brother, so anything he can do, I can do better. (HA!)
