ME blather- Actually beat the main mission of the DLC yesterday. Heh, it seems like some characters have a distinct advantage in that first mission. Since you're ambushed at a restaurant, you don't have your stuff- no medi-gel, and only have a single silenced pistol you stole from one of the guys, and you need to get past a dozen or so shielded mercs down in the alleys. Its like, it was a breeze for my infiltrator, just turned on my cloak and breezed past them. I realized I missed some stuff so when I got to the place where I need to go, now that all the baddies were in one direction, I turned around and slowly cleared them out. Sabotage was also useful here, as I used it to hack their drones to doing the attacking for me so I didn't have to waste precious bullets or expose myself. Additionally, I switched my bonus power back to energy drain from flare before tackling the DLC, since I knew the enemies all had shielding.

I enjoyed the casino infiltration as well, there were a lot of amusing people you could mingle with, and I liked all the sneaky bypassing and having to distract guards. Though from watching some other people trying to tackle it on youtube, I can see a few dull stones having a problem getting past the last set of cameras/guards. I mean, its like, patience kids! Wait til the patrolling guard goes away, then send your ally to distract the stationary guard, and that should free you up to hack the cameras in the right order. ojv('Man, its easy!')

When you finally get some real action, it was great. And it had a good boss fight. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Glee- As I said, my favorite song of the night was "In Your Eyes":

Will does a great rendition of it. The comments on that vid made me sad though, because some people were all, "Why is he holding a boom box?!" Watch a movie, kid! "Say Anything..." is a classic!

Speaking of me being an old fuddy-duddy, I realize its cold, but in the mornings, I sometimes notice some parents actually drive their car to the gates and are just sitting their idling. I can see wanting to keep your kid warm, but today I saw that since these new mini-vans have the entertainment system, the kid was in the back was watching a DVD. Its like, "Pardon me, your majesty!" These kids sitting in a warm car, watching TV as they wait for the bus, who do they think they are, the Queen of England. I had to walk several blocks in the cold for an hour's worth of subway and bus rides to get to school, and they're just sitting around being chauffeured to their bus!
