Apr. 6th, 2012 11:24 amSo Topless Robot did an article on the the 20 most ridiculous G.I.Joe filecards. I found the #1 especially amusing, because to me Hit & Run was an apt name for the guy, since he hits and runs all guerilla style. And I knew he had been orphaned by a drunk driver. But I didn't realize what an unfortunate coincidence that was until this article pointed it out.
TV commentary:
Community- Pretty hilarious episode, though the main thing I'm curious is about is something ridiculous- the special icons app for texting Annie was telling Jeff about. Like I can understand the thumbs down icon, or even a birthday cake icon, but why the hell would you ever need icons like "piece of sushi" and "women's shoe"? Maybe its because I'm a boring loser with no one to have textual conversations with, but would such things ever come into play?! I guess you could use the umbrella icon to tell a friend it looks like its about to rain, all "looks like (umbrella icon)", that's less text. Which I guess means you could use sushi to ask a friend if they want to have some sushi.
But what makes sushi so special that it gets its own icon? Is there a pizza icon? Or one for tacos? Or like what if you wanted Chinese food, would it be an icon of a takeout box?
Person of Interest- Wait, does Fuscoe still not know Carter knows Finch and Reese?! What was he thinking this whole time, "Oh, that's weird, you also have a mysterious friend who provided you with this safehouse and an assault rifle!" I mean, he knows what Finch and Reese are about, so you'd think he'd question how Carter is getting these resources and information, much like he sometimes does.
Also, what did she tell the cops who arrive on the scene on why she was using an FN 2000? Particularly since the Feds have started up a whole task force on finding Reese. Like wouldn't they wonder why she chose to go to that particular building, and where she got the unauthorized hardware?
