So my dream power is time rewinding. Though I only remember having it in the dream world when something truly terrible happens there. Heh, which apparently includes going to Hankook and them being out of tacos because I got there late because I was having some stupid nerd discussion with some randoms about Star Wars. So, I rewound time so I could get there in time for tacos. I did use my time rewind power for something good later- I was walking through a parking lot, and there was something familiar seeming about a van I passed.

Sure enough, I opened the door and there was a unconscious kidnapped girl inside and I remembered this being the MO of a kidnapping ring my dream self had heard of. Since I had no weapons, I left her there to get help for some reason, trying my best to look like the van was undisturbed, so if the kidnappers came back while I was grabbing help, they wouldn't be suspicious.

But, as I was sneaking through the parking lot, I was noticed, which apparently screwed up the drop that was going on and possibly getting the girl (who was the daughter of a cop) killed. I wouldn't know though, because I rewound time and went to the cop lady first, told her the situation, borrowed her gun, and having an inkling of where the kidnappers were before I screwed things up the first time, snuck up on them and popped them both. Apparently they were a couple of Travellers. And I think the Russian mob was involved too. But that was none of my concern, I was preoccupied with rescuing the girl.

TV commentary:

Degrassi- You know, I had totally forgotten about the Eli and Imogen thing, with her encouraging his nuttiness and dressing like Claire and how ultra creepy it was. I think the show was hoping you'd forget about the creepy/crazy stuff but recall they were some sort of thing. So Fiona's crushing on Imogen, but she can't go another year of pining for yet another straight girl again, so to get Imogen out of her mind, she decides to hook her two only friends up.

In plot #2, Claire's miserable at home. Especially when she finds out about Jake and Jenna. Ha, I'm glad the show acknowledged this is the second time in a row Jenna's been involved with one of Claire's bfs/ex-bfs. Apparently this drives her to run away to the house of some random chick whom she met at a bookstore. She and her husband take in strays, and it seems like they're just really nice people first, but then it takes a turn for the ultra-creepy the next morning with them encouraging her to get rid of her phone under the guise that it just tethers her to all her stress. I wonder what they're going to end up being? A cult? Slavers? Drug dealers?

In the C-plot, Connor tries out and gets on the football team, because apparently he's grown a bunch since we last saw him. But obviously, his Asperger's makes things incredibly awkward.

Cute girl behavior to obsess about of the day: So as I enter Hankook, the one girl (whom I used to refer to as "girl who always asks my name because she keeps forgetting it", but she actually does remember my name now) was all, "So, A, what is your real name?" And I was, that is my real name! So then she's like, what's your middle name, then? To which I tell her I don't really have one. (Well, technically, on my birth certificate, my mom's maiden name is my middle name, I guess. But I wasn't going to bore her with that story!) Then she was wondering if it could be Mark. And if not, if she could make it Mark. What the?!! I'm so confused!

Dang, I totally forgot last night was the Clone Wars season finale, which had the Maul/Savage team up. Its too bad the cartoon is tainted by the lameness that is episodes I-III, because it actually has its moments.

Of course, to me the show suffers the problem of being set between Episodes II and III, because at a certain point you start going, "How much friggin stuff happened between those two movies?!" And they introduce interesting characters who don't exist in the movies so I think the show struggles with what to do with these characters- they want them to have a cool arc, but eventually they're going to have to "disappear".

TV commentary:

Fairly Legal- Heh, did I miss something, was Anders just attacked randomly? And Adama's father wanted him to lay the blame on some other random guy who didn't do it? (I was going to make a comment about how amusing I thought it was to refer to not one, but two characters by their BSG/Caprica characters here, and then I realized Tigh was also in this episode.)

Oh, and I found assistant guy's joke about Lauren being a former pr0n star hilarious, because I can actually see that. I think its the face, she has like a "come hither" face.

In Plain Sight- Are they really excusing Mary choosing to keep this kid as a subconscious desire to protect and be there for someone because her mom and sister got their lives together? Only, as we learn, her sister hasn't! And oh, its not like she runs into a lot of people she needs to help and protect AS A WITSEC MARSHALL.

Heh, and could it be any more obvious wheels was a traitor?! I mean, I suppose they try to throw you off by making you think, "Oh, he couldn't be a bad guy, he's handicapped!" The episode was about a secret society with big reach. It was obvious there was going to be an inside man. And its like, there was only one other character introduced in the ep, so who else was going to be the breach?!
