Jan. 8th, 2012 08:24 pmSaw Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Saturday with the usual suspects. It was pretty good, albeit long. My mom was wanting me to watch this and then watch the original movies (and read the books) to compare. Heh, it is a little mortifying to think of my parents watching the original if its anything like this one, given certain scenes in the movie. I mean, its already uncomfortable watching eps of SVU with them, and them being all, "Wait, why did that guy kidnap that girl, what's he going to do to her?"
Afterward, had lunch at Tasty China, a Chinese Restaurant in K's area that had gotten good reviews that he's been wanting to try. It was indeed pretty good Chinese. Although we did end up ordering quite a few spicy dishes. The most ridiculous one were the ribs, which were a huge pile of hot peppers, buried under which were some ribs. I wouldn't go so far to say it looked like a pile of "insect carcasses" as
clevemire put it, though.
Even though I had a late lunch, went to
zarathustra94 and
turdburgler's for geek fun, and had dinner at Qdoba. Given my large lunch, went with a light dinner of the four cheese nachos.
Saw MI: Ghost Protocol this afternoon. It was good too, and the first of the movies that actually acknowledges plot points from the previous ones.
