Aug. 19th, 2011 06:00 pmSo had my post YAG posterior capsulotomy checkup this morning. With both my eyes clear now (well, the left was totally clear, I think eventually the right will need the same treatment, but it hadn't progressed anywhere near as bad as the left one had. I mean, there is a noticeable diff in clarity, but the right isn't anywhere to the point that it needs to be lased), they could do an accurate assessment for me to get a new prescription for my glasses. So, I was able to get new glasses today. And wow, my old pair really did need updating, because I can't believe how much clearer things look, particularly at a distance!
Heh, so anyways, at my age, its always flattering to have people tell you how young you look for your age. The girl who helped me (who in my memory is looking like a cross between Ashanti and Zoe Saldana, though I'm thinking while she was indeed attractive, I'm sure she wasn't that attractive) had been wondering why I wear bi-focals and was thinking to herself, "Well, I guess some younger folks are starting to wear such things", so when she found out my age, she was all, "Whoa, you don't look anywhere near that old!" and remarked on how young I looked.
Of course, she also immediately buttoned the top of her blouse afterward, and while I'm sure its just a coincidence, its hard not to think her statement and the buttoning aren't related. So the rest of the time there I was wondering if there was a connection. Like was she all, "Oh, he's old, I don't need to be as cleavage-y to make the sale" or "Oh, he's kinda cute, lemme try to entice him with boobage. Oh wait, he's that old? Never mind!"
