Geez, these past few months we've had massive earthquakes, tsunamis, crazy weather patterns, scores of fish turning up dead or birds all of a sudden falling from the sky. If it really is the end times, I'm gonna be so pissed.

So, my 16 gig 5th gen nano (the last one before they changed the nano to that stupid extremely small touch screen model that you can wear as a wristwatch) had only about 620M left on it as of yesterday. That was a little too close to being almost full, so I cleared it all out, selected the downsize higher bit rate files down to 128kbps (which is more than fine enough quality for me, I'm not one of those audiophile snobs) option, and re-added my music. So now I have 5 gigs free, which is roughly 1000 more songs. Which is good, because there's a lot of upcoming music I'm definitely gonna get in the next month that would've filled up my ipod had I not opened up that space. There's the aforementioned "Priscilla Queen of the Desert Musical" Broadway cast recording, the soundtrack to the upcoming movie version of "Lemonade Mouth", a third of a season left of Glee, so there's all those songs.

But yeah, I currently have 2720 songs in my music library. But the capacity for ~3700 is more than enough for my purposes, I think. I mean, that 2720 represents all the songs I've cared to listen to in the last half century. I highly doubt a thousand songs that I'll want will come out within the next few years to fill all that up. Of course, I only use my ipod for my car, I use the music player on my phone mostly of the time, and that has 16 gig left. But the obsessive-compulsive in my couldn't bear the thought of the libraries being out of sync.

Anyways, so I've been hearing about this upcoming Smurfs movie, but there's finally a trailer out for it:

Do a Smurfs movie, fine. But why the frick does it have to be in 3D?! And why does it take place in modern NYC with Emma Pillsbury and Barney Stinson? Ah, and I see for Azrael they're going for something that looks like a real cat?

Sporcle quizzes:

Can you name the movies in which these actors and actresses play the given occupations?- Only 43 out of 64. Though of the 21 I missed, I had only seen 8. I am freaking kicking myself for not getting the Harrison Ford smuggler one, and I can't believe I missed the Reese Witherspoon lawyer one or the Meryl Streep hotelier one. Hmm, the softball player one for Reese, that's interesting, because from the trailers I had no idea that was her occupation. I mean, its like a totally random job for her to have for a romantic comedy!

But yeah, I couldn't remember the name of the Christian Bale magician one, and I actually missed all the Johnny Depp ones. I couldn't remember the bank robber one, and the hair stylist one through me for a loop, but once I saw the answer, I was like, duh!

Real homemade pulse laser gun:

If its for real, its cool and all, but what would you really use it for than popping balloons or burning tiny pinprick holes in plastic and styrofoam from a few feet?

Its first listen Fridays:

Hmm, looks like there is one last original song in addition to the one's already released, Hell to the No, by Mercedes. Like the other two original songs, its okay, not bad, but not great. Its just kinda generic sounding.

The rest of the songs are all Warblers songs. There's their cover of Hey Monday's "Candles" at Celebuzz, Pink's Raise Your Glass at Billboard, and Maroon 5's "Misery" and The Beatles "Blackbird", at the Glee the Music Site.

Degrassi- Again, what the?! Holy crap, Claire should start fearing for her life! spoiler cut )

Bringing it out of the cut, who runs away and doesn't bring their laptop with them if they have one? I would think it would be essential or something!
