Argh, snow. I'm sure everyone else is all, "woo-hoo, day off! Let's play in the snow!" but alas, I don't get the day off. Of course, even if that weren't the case, I'm still not a fan. Particularly down here in Atlanta. Like over the break back in NYC, we got way more snow than this. And it was definitely inconvenient- I mean, we basically couldn't drive the whole week, not because the roads were impassible, because they were totally fine to drive in. But you had to spend so much time digging your car out, as the reason the roads were okay to drive in is because the snow plows shoved the snow out of the way and off to the sides, burying the cars parked in the street. But if you did dig your car out, there was the worry about losing your spot to someone else, and then where are you supposed to park? At least in NYC, you can still walk to places. Hell, in the big blizzard of '93, we ended up running out of snow days at school, and I had to walk the 15 blocks to the train station, but at least I could still walk there. Here in Atlanta, you can only really get anywhere by driving, so you're basically just stuck at home unless you want to brave the roads.
Plus snow means cold, and sure it looks pretty out there, but if you're not careful you can get sick, and that's never fun.
