Hawaii Five-0- HA! I totally forgot the slang term of Five-0 for cops actually came from the original TV show. So watching the re-make, I just thought Hawaii Five-0 was like Miami Vice, where it was "name of place" + "term for cops" or "name of police unit". I didn't occur to me that cops in that universe wouldn't be called Five-0s since its not a TV show in that universe. Heh, like it totally confused me in the end when McGarrett was explaining his football number of 50. He was all "Its not 50, its Five-0". so I was thinking, he was paying homage to his dad, the cop. But then when Boomer and Jin and Dano were looking at him all confused and he had to explain the meaning of 5-0 (because Hawaii was the 50th state, therefore they were Five-oh-ers) I realized my mistake!
