Cool, Amazon has previews up for the tracks on the first volume of the Glee soundtrack on the product page. It looks like Billy Idol's "Dancing With Myself" and "Defying Gravity" from Wicked are the only two songs on it that are previously unreleased. The soundtrack comes out Nov 3rd, but I wonder if they're gonna do the weekly thing next week and release the singles for those last two songs even though there's no new ep because of baseball.
In any case, "Defying Gravity" is prolly the best song in Wicked, so I can't wait for their version. The preview on Amazon does sound pretty good. But it looks like "Dancing With Myself" is done all lounge-y. If you download it from Itunes, you also get Quinn's version of "I Say a Little Prayer", which makes Tina the only one of the Glee kids not to have a song on the first soundtrack. I mean, Finn and Rachel are the leads on most, Mercedes on "Bust Your Windows" and "Hate on Me", Puck on "Sweet Caroline", Kurt finally getting to do something with "Defying Gravity", and "Dancing With Myself" sounds like Artie, though he had solos on "Somebody To Love" and the "Its My Life/Confessions Part II" mashup. (Say what you will about this show, it definitely has a varied soundtrack). I think the only time I heard her sing lead was on "Tonight" from West Side Story. Sucks for her that she's left out.
