It wasn't the muffin fairy... or was it?
Mar. 9th, 2009 07:45 amIs Resident Evil 5 out yet? I guess checking online it comes out stateside this Friday, but it's already out in Japan. But wow, watching HD vidoes of it and Killzone 2 online, its like geez the graphics in those games are phenomenal. It is crazy when you think of what was considered "awesome graphics" years ago and how they compare to the graphical achievements now.
Anyways, I like how much more bad-ass Wesker gets each game. Well, you don't really see him in action in RE4 (playing him in Mercenaries mode doesn't count) But RE: Code Veronica he was definitely superhuman. This game though, he's totally pimp (and I don't just mean his outfit). He still insanely strong, but he's somehow even faster. He's dodging bullets all Agent-like, and basically moves like he has Force Speed. Actually, its closer to the Weirding Way since he doesn't even leave the blurry after images, he looks like he's teleporting like he's Nightcrawler or something. (Is it geeky that I managed to reference the Matrix, Star Wars, Dune, and the X-men in a span of two sentences? Though I guess the Dune mini-series did the blurry after-image thing with the Weirding Way, but I always imagined it more akin to teleporting, since its all "My mind affects my reality". They're basically moving at the speed of thought. Its not that the practicioner moves so fast she's able to dodge the blow and get behind her opponent near-instantaneously, its that the move has already been done, so she's already behind them.)
And this new chick Excella Gionne, is she Eye-talian, or some kinda Spanish? ( Spoiler talk )
Geek Question of the day: Ozymandias from Watchmen vs the orginal Grendel, Hunter Rose- both are super geniuses with wealth and power and seem to have reached peak human physicality, who wins? I guess Ozy, because Hunter Rose always seemed Ozymandias-ish, but never reached the heights the former did.
