They're all wasted!
Jan. 8th, 2008 11:40 pmAnother day, another dollar. Ugh, had some issues trying to transition to nights Sunday night/Monday morning in the form of an intense headache accompanied by nausea and a bit of vomiting. Thankfully, a good dose of extra strength tylenol had me feeling 90% so I could go into work. Having been out for a little over 2 weeks, I didn't want to call in sick. Owel, no more headache today, so that's good.
Did see Alpha Dog last night. I know its based on a true story, but its still non-sensical. The basic premise of the movie is some rich white kid drug dealer has a row with one of his colleagues, starting an escalating feud that culminates in rich white kid kidnapping the other guy's kid brother. Kid brother is actually cool with "being kidnapped", since it mostly entails hanging out and partying and having a threesome with Lily Kane and the hot blonde chick from Hidden Palms. Drug dealer freaks though and realizes he'll prolly go to jail for this, so he gets his cronies to kill the kid.
Which only makes sense if no one knew he had the kid! But there were like a bajillion witnesses who saw them with the kid, so what was the point of killing him, everyone knows the kid was with him and his crew! His dad and his "associate" wanted him to turn himself in as his dad's lawyer could get him minimal jail time, 2 years at most. Truthfully, I think if they were astute enough, I think they coulda beat the rap. I mean, the kid was basically partying with them the whole time, and if he claims he just ran away and was "hanging with his new friends", and they had enough people to back up that story, could they even prove kidnapping? The only thing they had to worry about was the kid's brother, who is a bit of a maniac and already knew they had him, so there's no point in killing him at that point. Wouldn't it be smart to not kill the kid brother of a guy who beat the crap out of a half dozen people by himself?! Whatever.
Owel, the new season of OTH started up. As the promos said, they fast forwarded 4 years in the future. But they keep having flashbacks to those four years. How very Lost of them! ( some comments )
