Oct. 4th, 2007 07:14 amAnother day, still too frickin' tired. I was thinking I could get to sleep before 11 last night, there was nothing at 10 (or so I thought) and I utilized the pause on the PVRs to build up some buffer time while I made lunch for today and got ready for bed (2 hours before I actually went to bed!) and then just fast forwarded through the commercials to catch up. Pushing Daisies at 8, Gossip Girl at 9, and then the recording of Bionic Woman. But then I remembered my cohort at work had mentioned that South Park and the Sarah Silverman show started up again, which I remembered right as SP was about to start, so recorded those too and watched them after Bionic Woman. I still haven't seen Tuesday's the Unit, and tonight is Smallville, Supernatural, The Office, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock and Its Always Sunny in Phillie.
I still think the first Pushing Daisies ep is pretty good. As for Bionic Woman though, if not for the BSG connection, I prolly would've written this show off as a bigger budget version of one of Sci Fi channels non-BSG shows. ( quick little spoilerish talk )
You don't even have to ask, my favorite part of Gossip Girl last night was Serena and Sweet Knees (awesome, she's actually wearing knee socks in the particular scene I'm talking about) cat-fighting on the field in their field hockey uniforms. spcv('Nice!') Anyhoo, while Blair is clearly the hottest chick on this show (of course, I seem to have a thing for bitchy rich brunettes, if Summer Roberts and Brooke Davis are any indication) the outfits they have Serena wearing are just awesome. Even though they go to a private school with uniforms, I guess the school just cares that its a uniform, and not that the students (or at least the girls) wear the same ones. Which, that's not really "uniform" anymore, is it? But of the three main girls, Serena's spin on it is as Captain Awesome would put it, awesome. Could her skirt be any shorter? And apparently buttoning blouse buttons is an optional thing in her book.
( Gossip Girl 2x03 )
Playing WO yesterday, I may have to revise my rankings and knock Musashi down to two. ( cut for your benefit )
Dang, I have not been able to stop whistling the whistling part of Peter Bjorn and John's "Young Folks" for some reason these past couple of days. Oh, finally went to Umezono's with the usual suspects after not having been there in a long while. They too noticed the long length of time since our last visit, but they did remember we got the katsu curry. So had that and an order of spicy tuna rolls. That's good eating.
