Too low to find my way, too high to wonder why

owel, just another day at work. And there's a meeting a 3. Ugh. Anyways, had some idears for a certain story or two that would prolly be of no interest to anyone else other than turdburgler. Too bad I'm having trouble congealing my ideas into something readable. Also, I never did a poll before, so lemme try one. First, some background info: ( Specs! )

Had dinner with the roomie at Friday's, and the Ender series came up. So, those who have read Ender's Shadow and the rest of the Bean arc, do you pronounce it "Uh-kill-ees" like the common pronunciation, or "Ah-sheel" as its supposedly pronounced by some of the characters in the book? I mean, any other time I see the name Achilles, I think of the common pronunciation. But when it comes to that character, its Ah-sheel. Seriously, that was totally frustating when I read those books. When I first read they were pronouncing it "Ah-sheel", it like totally slowed down my reading. I'm a pretty fast reader, but I'd stop when I'd read it in my head an be all "Uh-kill-ees" or "Uh-chill-ees" and then be all, "Dammit, its Ah-sheel!"

Anyways. checked out that new "The Unit" show on CBS. Its kinda interesting. ( The Unit: Palmer as Jack )
