Oct. 17th, 2004 10:33 amJust here at work watching the Pelican Brief. I've never actually watched this before, which is weird given the number of times TNT shows it. Its interesting, I'll have to watch it all the way through another time isince I missed part of it.
Was reading the GG recap on TWoP and I noticed the past few recaps, Pamie, is all "this is from this for all you young 'uns". But, I mean, who doesn't know the plot to "Some Kind of Wonderful", or John Cusack held up the boom box playing Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" outside Ione Skye's window all night, or the theme song to the Greatest American Hero? I would think even if those are from the 80s, they're classics! Or maybe I'm just old and its not ojv('Man, its obvious!') to kids nowadays. I mean, I don't think they've ever shown re-runs of The Greatest American Hero (you'd think Nick at Night or TV land or whatever would) And I don't think "Some Kind of Wonderful" and "Say Anything" get as much play as "Sixteen Candles", "Pretty in Pink", or "The Breakfast Club".
