Aug. 30th, 2004 10:28 pmAll the DVDs I ordered last week finally arrived, so that's cool. Next on my DVD purchasing list? I'm thinking about picking up Heat Guy J. Sis lent me her copies, and I've really enjoyed the series so far. I could add a new full series to my anime collection, the only full series I have being Cowboy Bebop and Noir. I'm working on GitS: SAC, but that just started coming out, though the next one comes out soon. Just watching WWE right now. Trish Stratus and Gail Kim are tag team partners? That's a cool tag team, it does have that Blonde and Asian appeal I'm fond of. And they're fighting Victoria and Nidia? Victoria doesn't use the T.A.T.U. song for her theme music anymore? And Nidia is no longer poor white trash? She was cooler when she was playing that role. And the whole Lyta signing Kane to fight Shawn Michaels at Unforgiven? Ridonkulous (or Jericho's variation, "Riconkulous"). I mean, he's supposed to be threatened by that? Michaels is old, washed up, and half his size!
Anyways, went to Friday's for dinner. They were having a bartender competition going on, but I couldn't see it from where I was sitting. What does one do in a bartending competition anyways? All that fancy bottle flipping stuff? They had some interesting accompanying music. One had this mix of Madonna's La Isla Bonita, where the lyrics would alternate between it and some other reggae-ish song that I've heard before but can't remember the name of. Another one went with The Archies' "Sugar Sugar". And surprisingly, it was the original, and not some dance mix travesty, which was indeed surprising since everyone else seemed to be going for some dance mixes. Speaking of, they had this re-mix of one of Justin Timberlake's songs, but the starting beat was interesting. Toad the Wet Sprocket's "All I Want" was going through my head, and I was imaginging how one could mix it into the beat to make an odd dance mix song.
Anyhoo, saw they finally put a Jack Daniels burger in the menu. I came up with that, they ripped me off! Okay, its an obvious thing to come up with, but I was saying they should have had such a thing ever since they added the Jack Daniels items to the menu. And is it me, or does Dr. Angus remind one of Greg Kinnear? I don't know why.
And is it me, or is the chick playing Jill Valentine in RE2 kinda hot?
