Jul. 1st, 2004 08:30 amJust another day, as Jon Secada would say. Started Prisoner of Azkaban last night. Its like 100 pages longer than the previous two. And I saw the next two books after that, they're huge! Like double or triple the size! But the books have been a good read so far, so I can't complain. So I gots that. There's my DA story to finish. Its almost done, it started out perfectly okay, but now its gotten way out of hand.
(Ack, I was interrupted by actual work. God bless the creator of the drill-driver. I still took me two hours, but it would have been way longer had I had to screw by hand.)
Anyways, what was I talking about? Oh the DA thingie. I think its gotten a little too outrageous, though I don't know why I bother since no one other than C+T will be able to read it anyways. But it should be finished by tonight, I think. Then, I can get back to Potter reading and TF playing. Speaking of, I don't think you get enough mini-con slots as you should. Its a little frustrating that you end up too specialized. For example, you can't equip the anti-aircraft and sniper mini-cons at the same time. Its like, if I spot a drop ship in the distance, I'd like to pick it off with the flak cannon, but if I don't manage to get them before they drop their cargo, I'd like my sniper rifle available to pick off the troops. Or more generally, you end up equipping one weapon that helps you easily take out one pesky enemy, but it makes battles against some other type of enemy slightly harder, because what works well against the first one might not be the ideal choice against the second one. It would help if you could change on the fly, but you have to go back to base to re-arrange you load-out.
And I'll eventually have to get back to Onimusha 3 as well. The roomie has gaming of his own now, having picked up Front Mission 4. That looks like a neat game, but he hasn't gotten to the shopping yet! But buying parts and weapons and building your own mech is cool!

Okay, this is beginning to piss me off. Can people not read? Or are they just dense. Only one person, wait, two people (how could I forget hottie chick, looking hottie as usual today) were astute enough to figure it out all on their own. I know, because I've been watching the monitor all morning! I swear, if I have to get up one more time, I'm gonna be pissed.
But now they fixed it, so that's one less thing stuck in my craw. Anyhoo, about to go to lunch and do some more toolin' when I come back. I'm supposed to have it done by today, though I can't see how I can't not have it done by today. I mean, its like half an hour to hour of work at most. Unlike this last task, the tolerances aren't as exact. Just screw this and that in and snap the thingie into it and I'm done. ojv('man, its easy!')
